Aftermarket Vendors For Turbos
george 53 replied to VictorSmalls's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Explaining rudeness for rudeness sake is no excuse for it. I post here just as you do, I'm not perfect and it shows at times. But I DO try NOT to be openly sarcastic of folks i don't know. Let's just let it go at that. -
Aftermarket Vendors For Turbos
george 53 replied to VictorSmalls's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
But of course I do, why ELSE would I post? I consider Mike a freind and I wil always endorse products as good as his. I do have both his turbo's AND superchargers, so I may get a bit confused at times. It comes with age.i don't get what braces an shoestrings have to do with anything, but if folks WANT to be rude to be rude, that's up to them. I wasn't trying to be. -

Personally, I can vouch WHOLEHEARTEDLY For Shucky's( Mike DeLuca) products! You can look ANYWHERE, but for a resin cast extremely accurate clock-able Turbo, Mikes the ONLY way ta go! His race turbo's even come with a COGGED drivebelt for maximum performance! Mikes stuff is some of ,if not THE BEST turbo equipment available! Buy with safety AND confidence! Plus he's a Forum member brother! -
The Key To Determined If It Is A Model
george 53 replied to chuckyr's topic in Real or Model? / Auto ID Quiz
I tend to look at the weight(or lack of)on the tires, and for little nuts and bolts on it to see IF they could be reproduced in scale.Last week, I had seen the picture before, so I KNEW it was a model. -
Maybe not so much Corvair, as Corvair inspired or powered maybe? Either way, it's lookin pretty good already!

Rollback kit
george 53 replied to sstacey47's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Seriously guys, if you do get one, You WILL be in for a surprise! They are VERY well thought out, the instructions are precise, and it just GLUES together, without needing Super glue! It's a NICE peice, and if you DON'T get one, well, like they say, "Get 'em Early, Getta LOT, an get HAPPY"!!!!! All kidding aside, this is a VERY well thought out kit. It is nice. -
Just found out Tony Rios and Santiago Hernandez aren't gonna be able to make it this year. But I'll be there Steve, jus ta give ya a hard time Bud!!!!

first resin hudson veriant.. hollywood...
george 53 replied to jeffb's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Saw this one finished last night at our Club meeting. It actually LOOKS like a factory body. The guys use this resin that looks exactly like styrene plastic when it cures! I've had to mark the resin pieces with a marker just to tell 'em apart! This body is no different. It'll fall into place on the kit parts an you'll be the only kid on the block with one! -
Unfortunatly, I'd seen the picture before at his website.
-
Well at least it has pink in it. Id hate ta think wat it'd cost to INSURE that rascal!!!
-
Actually Steve, i don't think he's out of buisness, just kinda backed up. Give him some time to get his stuff together, and I'm sure you'll be able to order it directly from him.
-
Ta be honest woth ya Ken, if ours was as well stocked as what some of you guys have, I KNOW I'd like it. Our Micheal's was GREAT at getting new kits, but they moved the model section, and made it smaller too!. Now they don't seem to have as much variety (I use the coupons, so i get alotta stuff from them) but at least ALL the slots in their model car section are full.
-
Just depends on who runs the model section. Our Hobby Lobby is LAME when it comes to models. They have about 6 rows of shelves, about 15 ft long, with areas for about a HUNDRED kits! At lest that what they have labled! But there's only about 10 different kit up there! Sure the section is FULL, but wat about the OTHER 90 slots? Our HL is a POOR excuse for a hobby store as far as MODEL CARS is concerned. They have ALL the rows filled for the Military/RC/ Ship modelers!

Thanks John! That rascal is lookin fine!!!!
