  1. Hey Guys, Thank you for bringing back to life one of my all-time favorite threads. Very nice work Mark and Niko! Lets see some more.
  2. Looks great! Some of my favorite modeling subject matter too.
  3. Beautiful model! I don't even know what a Skyline is but it looks great. The engine bay and the wheels are outstanding.
  4. Great collection of '60's Camaros guys! I've been wanting to build a '67 SS/RS much like Steve's of Minneapolis or like Raoul's Pace Car (with the black grill - headlights covered). I haven't been able to find any kits anywhere. I've got some '69 kits and thought I might be able to substitute the grill / front bumper but can't find anything that will work. Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks in advance and keep up the great work. KB
  5. Beautiful. Nice work. Black is difficult and unforgiving but it looks like you got it down!

Very nice, clean build. Thanks for sharing.
  7. Very cool. I love the beer keg tank and the "Move Over" graphics.
  8. What a bunch of cry babies. These Revell Willys kits are some of the best drag kits ever made. The engine alone is almost worth the price as it can be used in so many different '60's era cars.
  9. Really nice! It looks like the real thing.
  10. I just tried it for the first time. I used Testors enamel and didn't want to wait however long it takes to cure. (I usually use lacquer which cures plenty fast). I work in a lab setting and my current work is run at 109 deg F so I just stuck my model body with a couple of test pieces in the test enclosure (with my lab experiment!) for 24 hrs and it seemed to do the trick. I don't know what the optimum temp should be but the body was ready to sand/polish after that one day. I will most likely do the same in the future.
  11. First of all, congrats on your medals! Hope you post photos of the winners if you haven't already. I would either build the tank or sell/trade it. Looks like it could be a lot of fun.
  12. I bought from many companies over the years but the only companies that I am a repeat customer of are: Reps and Miniatures Competition Resins Modeltyme Designs Slixx decals (so sorry to see them go)
  13. Critique or criticism it doesn't matter to me. It is totally out of line to call someones model awful or looks like a diecast toy (when they know it's not). Dude can't even spell (aweful???). Rant over.
  14. This was one I built about ten years back. From the Revell Pro-Modeler Daytona Charger kit. Thanks for looking. KB
  15. I see the pics and they are frick'n awesome! Over the top! God you guys make we feel so inadequate. Way to go Rom. Absolutely beautiful.
  16. I've bought a couple of cases from Bill Greenan. One is a custom job. They are of the highest quality and I highly recommend him. Here is a link to his website: http://www.collectablecases.com/index.php
  17. Check out this link to another forum. It's got lots of photos and info on old competition coupes. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=306543
  18. That is a really sweet looking ride. I'm not familiar with the article you mentioned but it looks like you have come up with an original take on a '32. Not an easy task. Very well done!
  19. Very cool! Sounds like fun. I've got kits in waiting for my 6-yr old. Looking forward to it.
  20. Chromed or not - it's a fine looking model - and for me that's what counts. (accuracy is over rated) I've got to look into this Testors one-coat wet-look stuff. Nice job!

That's reallly beautiful! I'm currently building up my own version of the same kit. You have set the bar pretty high. Very nice foil work. How did you do the trim that runs along the side? It's difficult to tell from the photos. Is it foil or a combination of foil/paint? It doesn't look like the kit decals. Thanks, KB
  22. I would say that your painting experiment was a great success! Cool looking ride.
  23. Very nice looking ride, AZ. Good job!
  24. Great thread and great models guys! Here's one of mine. This car (real and model) was not altered as extensively as most AWB cars that followed so all I had to do was move both axles forward and open up the wheelwells slightly. Basically, the same as Landy did to his car. No resin, it is from the Lindberg Ramchargers '64 Dodge kit. BTW, Cordova is the sight of my first ever Drag Racing experience. As a kid in the late '60's, lived in Galesburg and begged my Dad to take me to the Funny Car Extravaganza - 32 car field! Chi Town Hustler, Durachrome Bug, Gene Snow - oh man - I will never forget it! Been hooked ever since.
  25. Thank you for the kind words. Jack P, the rear wheel rims are turned aluminum and the inserts are resin pieces from Replicas & Miniatures. The aluminum rims were purchased from Detail Master/Modeltyme Designs but unfortunately, they have been discontinued. I believe they are bare aluminum and not anodized. I wish I could find more! KB
