  1. WOW! It is really cool when someone from another country joins this forum. Welcome. You have a muscle car in another country. It must be tough to afford gas for it.
  2. Joe, you are right, it is a Pontiac. I thought it was a Mopar. Sorry to throw the thread off subject.
  3. Yes, Casey that is it. I just don't recall what the car actually is. Pretty amazing work.
  4. I have a question that might be related here. Awhile back I saw an article with a photo of a car that I think was a Mopar. It was a car that had the body made of clear acrylic plastic. May have been from the 40's. A demonstration factory car of sorts that was going on an auction somewhere. Anybody know for certain what it was? Thank in advance. If whatever it was existed as a kit it would be cool to do in scale. It would be some work though. Greg
  5. I could make a Eleanor movie car hood but that is not what you are really wanting.
  6. Yes, you will need to pretend you are a surgeon.
  7. Beautiful job! I like Buicks.
  8. Joseph, Some polytek PT 50 and a little black dye in a well made mold would make some fabulous copies. Those are some really beautiful tires. Great work! I am suggesting that you do them in a rubbery type resin. http://www.polytek.c...category_id=399 Even though it cures out of the bottle in a gold transparent color, It can be easily tinted black like a real tire. Yes, It is not cheap either. Those masters you made just knock my socks off!!! I found out that if you have a good laser printer and the kit from Decal Pro that will create etching for electronic projects you can make your own photo etch parts. http://www.pulsarprofx.com/decalpro/Vertical/3_LIBRARY/3c_Other_Uses/4_Milling.html Greg
  9. I do prefer a nice shiny part and a good coat of paint will do it. I have spent countless hours setting quietly polishing a part to prepare for the mold process. Especially the Cosma Ray bubbles and windshields in general. Did you know you can spray paint in a mold and after it dries you can pull a painted part from the mold? Pretty cool. I can make some pretty decent parts but I am a horrible painter and a horrible body man. I prefer to let someone in my club do major prep work for me. I don't consider sink holes a problem. There are too many other aspects of details on parts that are more important to me when I make a mold. I have seen parts that club members have paid a lot of money for that I would have thrown away. I suppose that not everything I make is perfectly perfect but I sure do try. Someone told me the Eleanor hood is high on one side and teeters. I checked my part to the master. They are exactly the same. I took some of the Smooth - On 300 resin I used to use and created a new mold with a hood that does not teeter. Hopefully it is a better part.
  10. This is something that really bothers me about convertible bodies. I buy a rare pristine model from someone on Ebay that knows nothing about models. When I get it in the mail there is a bunch of parts piled on the now broken frame. I take a thin piece of cardboard about a inch to a inch and a half wide and create a rectangle that fits over the frame and then tape it to the sides of the body. I sold an original issued AMT 67 Camaro pace car kit to a guy in Canada. I put the body in a separate box. This is kit number 6867-200, it has never been reissued.
  11. Very nice work, congrats to you.
  12. Sorry to hear of your loss. We have three miniature Dachshunds. Ty got sick recently and we found out he is diabetic we almost lost him. Now he gets nine units of insulin in the morning and at night. All three are on a strict feeding schedule now and no treats, just lots of belly rubs. We have the mother, she is the oldest and a puppy from one of the litters. The puppy experience was really cool! Ty was a great father and loved the little babies and missed them when they left.
  13. There are some listings on eBay. I was thinking they were in Indianapolis for some reason.
  14. Yes, Mike, That's the seller I remember.
  15. There is someone in Indianapolis that makes kits. They go through Ebay every now and then. I could not find a listing . Art Anderson may know.
  16. Hi Ron, I'm still crying in my beer! LOL She's a beauty for sure.
  17. Hey Raoul!! You should bust out that convertible version mold and we could start an Eleanors war!
  18. I am impressed with your work, GOOD JOB!
  19. You did a great job, Marty, I really like it. Now that I know it looks really good can you take it apart so I can cast it now? LOL
  20. http://www.psfhobbies.com/ Paul might have some. Ask him.
  21. Wow! Johnathon, that looks like another really nice build. But.........well I'm probably far better off staying in my own little corner of our forum
