  1. Alumilites clay is repackaged Klean Klay. It is the best deal on the net. Some sites want 8 plus dollars for a pound of it.
  2. Must have been 11. AMT 69 El Camino drag versin like the box art, gold I think. Then I built a Chevy Ranger service pickup. Built it orange like the box art.
  3. This is a cool idea. I sugested to Revell to do these as beginner kits to get new young kids to get into the hobby.
  4. Reminds me of the Hot Wheels colors.
  5. Nice job!
  6. Hey Jeff, I hope all is well with you. I really appreciate your helping me out. I still put you on the DSC trophy packs. Thanks.
  7. http://www.rocketfin.com/model_car_links.html This is my favorite page.
  8. I make certain the clear coat is removed before I attempt to resin cast a part. The clear coat will cover up good detail that needs to be in the new mold.
  9. I sure wish for a HHR also!
  10. AWESOME! What will they think of next? I think when I tried it I just put two of them pointy things in and let one of them do the cutting.
  11. putting a blade in a compass will work too but it takes some engineering to get it to work OK.
  12. http://www.ebay.com/...=item53ed59e86a Try this style of punch set. You will be amazed how clean a circle it will make. This one has a cheap starting bid.
  13. HMMMMMMMM.....Is it bigger than a breadbox? Did you get a nice unbuilt Furista for me to cast? I am soon going to be making some new Cosma Ray parts molds. Where is the next CCM meeting at?
  14. Danno, You should really be working on that beak nose Cosma Ray body or taking the Futurista apart.
  15. I just saw one of those wagon kits go through Ebay the other day.
  16. A suggestion for convertible bodies. Get a strip of cardboard about 1 inch wide and create a rectangle out of it that will fit over the windshield frame. Then take tape and tape it to the sides of the body and have the tape bend around under it and to the inside of the body. This will help insure that the buyer does not get a broken frame. I don't like it when I have spent over a hundred bucks for an original kit only to get it broken and I have to fix it! I also try to get a seller to put the body in it's own box. Some understand and will do it and some are really greedy and just don't care what kind of shape it is in when you have it in your hands. They have my money and I'm mostly SOL!
  17. WOW! That's actually a really good deal!
  18. Pretty cool stuff. Sorry I missed it! Maybe I'll make the CCM meeting Wed.
  19. http://www.rocketfin.com/model_car_links.html If you are new to modeling, this is a link you will want.
  20. I would try to find an actual nail polish thinner. There are SALLY BEAUTY stores here that sell an 8 ounce bottle for about four bucks. Oddly, big box stores sell all kinds of remover but not thinner. There are some pretty cool colors in nail polish. Somtimes you can get it cheap too.
  21. Evian spelled backwards is naive. Great idea though.
