  1. Perhaps MCM could have it's own auction site. If they can do it. Why not here?
  2. OUCH!! That hurts. I'm sure it will be really cool.. I would like to see some pics too.
  3. http://shop.superstitionhobbies.com/main.sc I ran across this doing a search. Has anybody local been here? It is mostly RC but might have something a modeler can use.
  4. I only posted to make the PUN, what a terrible SAAB story.
  5. I like the SMOOTH-ON RESIN myself. I was using the 300 but found it too soft. However, I came up with the idea of making a mold that will produce two sheets that are 2" by 4" square to be used for scratch building purposes. It only takes about 110 degree water to make it bend easily. I use the TASK 8 for most parts. It is nicer and more durable and will withstand a greater amount of heat. For instance, if you leave it in the trunk of your car in the summer it has a much better chance of survival. Also once cured it is pretty much chemical proof.
  6. Looks really nice. Looks like it has a sleeper in it and the idea of a bunk makes good sense too. I work at Arizona State University. They have a music hall where Broadway plays are performed. The trucks that roll in with all the shows material and hands are just amazing. They must all have a ten or 12 foot square mini apartment behind the drivers area in each on of them. I have never seen inside one but I bet they are very nice, big bucks!
  7. http://www.sagamusic.com/catalog/products.aspx?categoryid=4&familyid=2&brandid=77 Here is a place where you can get a kit to build your own guitar. I bought a kit off of Ebay a few years ago for $100.00. I work nights so I had the time and place to put it together. I took it to a music store and had it checked and set up properly. There was a guy that was an electrician that worked nights and was a professional Bluegrass musician also. I took the finished guitar and a little single tube amp I bought to work for him to play and he could not believe how nice an instrument it was for the money. If you like building models, you will like building a guitar. I for one just like building stuff. I have built a couple of Stereo Vacuum tube amps and a Vacuum tube stereo preamp. Nothing like a nose full of solder fumes!
  8. I bought this 93 S 10 from an individual in 1996. It had 60,00 miles on it. It has the original 2.8 V6 engine with a 5 speed transmission. It has a throttle body and injector from a 4.3 V6, a set of Edelbrock headers, and a flowmaster muffler. The plug wires are the Gray stiff wires that have the twists in them. They were invented and hand made by a guy in Florida. He has a patent on this design. They have been in use for about six years now. I installed them and a set of cheap copper core spark plugs. The truck runs very well. I use Amsoil oil in it too. Does anybody know where I can get a set of unobtainium dash bulbs like this one? I think there are 9 bulbs in all. It also has after market AC on it. http://kikerperformance.com/index.htm Here is a link to the Kiker wires. They sure made a difference with my truck
  9. WOW! Those are really nice. I bet several people will relish to have a set. pun intended.
  10. Maybe white tires will make black smoke! How come brown cows don't make chocolate milk?
  11. Look for'em in white ink at Michaels too.
  12. Thanks, Mike. It sounds like a Ebay feedback score.
  13. Hi Jonathon, My apologies for overlooking your post and not responding. Yes, I will make up some parts for you. Greg
  14. http://smcbofphx.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=rs&action=display&thread=1261 I plan on doing this in resin as soon as I get around to polishing it up and making a mold. It is the optional N-25 Bumper that Buick offered first in 1971 on the GSX.
  15. I am pleased that you like my work. It's a tough job but somebody has to do it! I put my heart in every part. If it ain't good enough for me, it ###### sure ain't good enough for you! Greg
  16. Send me a PM if you need one or two. Greg
  17. AWESOME indeed!
  18. I have these parts. It looks like I have the sign frame you speak of. I was wrong on the year, mine is the 61 SMP kit Roadster also. I don't have the box or instructions. I bought it as a really nice built car and then later won the bid on some other parts.
  19. Ken should just update it and send it to the printer or make it available as a EBOOK online.
  20. One of those came in a original 62 Corvette roadster kit. It is the only Corvette that came with a opening hood and trunk. I do those Corvette parts in resin. I do the promo chassis for this build. I could look to see if all the parts are in the kit for this display unit and cast them too.
  21. Devilsnake, I sent you a PM
  22. AWESOME!
  23. While most experienced painters may know what to thin it with, I was not certain. My first attempt was to figure that if the remover removed it, it would thin it as well. BAD IDEA! In my area we have SALLY BEAUTY supply stores. And sure enough they carry a four once bottle of thinner for about a $2.50. If you get a card I think it is cheaper. They carry all kinds of cool colors too. I'm kind of curious why all the big box stores sell all kinds of removers, but they sell no thinners. Like Tamaya paint I think they are some kind of hybrid paint. I painted a seat once with Tamaya racing red and two hours later I could not get it to come off. The only thing that would budge it was MR. PAINT REMOVER. That stuff smells kind of like SASSAFRAS tea. Here is a Car I built and put nail polish on it. Yes, I know the spoiler is on backwards. It was a poor fit either way and I was not paying any attention to what I was doing.
  24. I have airbrushed nail polish with pretty good success. Actually it dries very quickly and I have found it to be, well.....Hard as nails! After it dried I wet sanded it with a 2400 cloth and then polished it with my Bare Metal Foil plastic polish. I would post a pic but not sure how.
