Good business practices alert

It is great he got it in the mail quickly. It seems we forget to thank the USPS too. I mailed some camaro mirrors from here on a Friday and the guy in Floriday had them in his hand on Monday. And they were mailed as cheaply as possible. I would say the USPS does a pretty good job for being broke. -
Plumber.....long time. Plumbing tip: Do you have a toilet that does not seem to flush right and plugs easily? Toilets are like coffee pots. Lime and calcium can build up and plug the holes under the rim where water comes out and creates a swirl. Take the top off the tank and use a product by ZEPP that is a delimer. You can get it at the Home Depot. Vinegar will work too. Pour it down that tube that sticks up and brown goop will star coming out from under the rim. Pour some in the bowl itself to delime the trap. It should work like new again. If you have a swimming pool you can use that acid but it will take your breath away if you are not careful.

$425,000,000! What would you do?
Greg Wann replied to Terry Sumner's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
He is a smart guy and by golly you are too, Harry. He hosts a radio show and does something called Financial Peace University. Millions of people have gone through it. Classes are usually done through a church but some major corporations have sent employees through it. He offers good stuff about money for kids too. CASH IS KING! Paper currency still has a note that reads "For All Debts Public And Private" If you are tired of being broke and stuck in a credit card rat race, he is a good starting point. Darn shame the government won't follow this plan. -

Hey Harry, This sounds like the Dave Ramsey Plan. http://www.daveramsey.com/home/ This is a good place to start a financial plan. I'm trying to get on board. -
You are going to need to get Mrs. Danno another job to pay for these kits!

HMMMMM I just don't think there is beating the Honda commercial from a few years ago when a group of people took a couple of them apart and made a great video. Anybody remember that? -
I and two others in my club would like a decent 1:25 scale HHR. When I went back to Indiana for my fathers funeral I rented one and really liked it. Someone about two years ago on the Hobby Heaven board was working on a resin master. I bought one of those Road Ripper HHr's. It plays a Micheal Jackson song. I gave it to a club member. It's probably worth a fortune now since it plays a MJ tune.

That is pretty cool. I carpool with a guy that has a 68 Tempest. It was nice of Model Car Garage to include Tempest badges in their photo etch sets to make this project possible. I have thought of doing this build myself just to give the guy a model of his car. I think I have an original MPC 68 GTO body somewhere. The front bumper could be ordered chrome or some sort of Enduro rubber bumper I think.

any electronics experts?
Greg Wann replied to Marcus M. Jones's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I built some vacuum tube stereo equipment a few years ago. It was a lot of fun. Is there a schematic in the box lid? You might do a search for your model number and the word schematic. Adding description words of what you have may yield exactly what you need online. I realize what you have is not a vacuum tube amplifier or preamplifier but you still might get lucky -
AWESOME!

http://www.pulsarprofx.com/decalpro/Vertical/3_LIBRARY/3c_Other_Uses/4_Milling.html You can make your own PE parts from this kit. I have not tried it but am hoping too eventually. -
Parts should be cast as separate parts. Trying to build an engine and having it come out as a good part is almost impossible. Someone did post an example of an engine that looked pretty amazing awhile back. This Merlin engine is a big piece. The valve covers have a gap underneath them. Once silicone is poured in it will find every nook and crannie it can. The silicone in them may get torn out when the master is removed and you may never get a decent part out that will make the caster happy. When creating parts separately you may have one or two parts that may not come out right so you can try again in the next pour. Parting lines are important. Sometimes it is just best to follow the original parts parting lines. This means that a portion of the part might be in the top of the mold and you will need to pour a small amount in that part of the mold to. http://smcbofphx.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=rs&action=display&thread=1305 This link might be better.

Cadillac "Volt" coming...
Greg Wann replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
They should install gas burning engines that are converted to run on biodiesl to run a generator to make electricity to run the car and everybody will feel like they are doing something really green and you won't need to plug them in to charge them. Rube Goldberg -
