  1. Stock up on evergreen and get r dun.
  2. This the Western Star Tower is showing it is a re release of a previous kit.
  3. The primered truck appears to be the same truck in the Overdrive mag pics I wander what the production count was.
  4. Looks like a cross between these two trucks.
  5. Not even much on the web. All I can find out Fabco had something to do with it.
  6. This particular model KW was built in 1938 for the US Forestry Service they were equipped with a 225hp Hall Scott engine and 4 speed tranny
  7. Run across this picture and thought it would make a nice scratch build 262 Cummins 10 speed Road Ranger and single with a tag
  8. Looking good so far!
  9. Thanks Tim I was going by memory so I knew you would know for sure. I've never seen a 119" Pete with the 3408. K model Cummins or v12 detroit but I have seen a 119" Kenworth w900a with a factory Cummins kt 450.
  10. Never too much info thee more I can learn the better. A Lonestar milk wagon will be a neat project.
  11. Air cleaner location depends on the engine and if it's dual or single air cleaner. Single air cleaner Detroit 8v92t had left air cleaners as would single air cleaner 3408 Cats. The intake side of the turbo on both those v 8s face left simplifieing plumbing. The Luberefiner could be anywhere including in front of the left battery box on the frame if the truck was equipped with one as spin on filters were becoming available. Another factor could be if the truck is a 119" or 127 bbc. The Monogram kit is the 119' bbc. Our resident Pete expert Tim could tell you much better than I can.
  12. model round up .com will get you there sign up for their email
  13. Be interesting to see some builds pretty soon.
  14. Should be easier to paint seems like the old yellow would bleed through the primer like Monogram red .
  15. The Lindberg tanker represents the type used for direct farm pick up and is still used today. The food grade road tanker you wish to build is going to be a scratch build for sure. I would say pvc pipe and running gear from another kit would be a good start. Some generous use of various Alcad products and bare metal foil too.
  16. Model Roundup's newslater said Moebius says can be built as reffer or dry van. Interesting.
  17. Interesting, is everything else the same as the original ?
