  1. The Aussie version of the Western Star doesn't so I would guess not. Chuckyr is very knowledgable on Italeri kits he's a member here and is around regularly. Also try the website Public Fotki/model trucks under Italeri they usually show pics of of kit box, instructions, and parts trees hopefully that will help.
  2. Tough call but I would go with chrome yellow. Looking forward to them pictures.
  3. You are certainly a skilled modeler.
  4. Great stories keep em coming.
  5. Didn't see many when they were in production.
  6. Super as always Jacobus.
  7. Keeping an eye on this one very nice so far. I have a soft spot for old Whites.
  8. Like building the ultimate model 1 to 1 scale.
  9. Just noticed on the 1;1 forum a topic about a cool website called straight stack .com under the White gallery there are some great pics of vintage Western Star log trucks the upcoming AMT WS would be great for.
  10. Very interesting career.
  11. Cool my 2000 had an n14 500 it was all white fuel tanks and all. Had a million three when I traded up. Hey Moebius Dave maybe a Western Star next?
  12. Had 2000 4900ex a 2004 4900fa and a 2004 4900ex. A lowmax kit would be super I believe with some resin an Italerie kit and some worl it could be done.
  13. Dieseldog 1970 if the economy hadn't tanked I would still be an 0/0 and I certainly would own a Western Star. Thanks to you and your fellow truck builders. I am really looking forward to Round 2's release of the old AMT kit I have many plans including a WS/ peerless logger.
  14. Speaking as someone whos owned 3 Stars best truck made. Would love more models of them.
  15. Actually the transtar 4070 a the transtar 2 kits have a detroit diesel 8v71n. While the transtar 4200 kit not 4300 had a cummins v903.
  16. WS Peerless combo is what I have planned as well. Look at that a 12v71 in a 70s WS on another topic some one said wouldn't fit I knew it would. Any how thanks Round 2.
  17. Both kits will be quite welcome even at 45 dollars a far better price than evilbay. Also lets remember while the folks at Spaulding are great people they tend to be higher priced for some reason. These kits may be 35 + years old but the still build up great and offer bases for many projects. 45 dollars adjusted for inflation comes out to be about the same price as when they were originally released using government thinking. I'll buy and enjoy several. Keep em coming Round 2. Buy the way what Round 2 releases has a lot to do with getting the rights from manufacturers.
