  1. single with a tag for sure was out there.
  2. Both AMT kits originally had the torsion bar suspension but were switched to the extended leaf hendrickson early on. AMT didn't change the numbers to match.
  3. True but not all models are of that new a truck.
  4. Dayton wheels white spokes silver rims
  5. The Revell snap kit is a perfect start with the exeption of the 8 bag air ride as it wasn't available yet in 1976. Most vit200s I saw had either the KW torsion bar or 4 spring suspension.
  6. Looked nice but they were hard to keep clean.
  7. The three that the company I'm with had red frames. Of course thats because they repainted them.
  8. Actually the interior was white with red and blue trim. The gold was kinda of an odd tannish gold.
  9. Many a b61 used the camel back suspension although very few used the heavy 55000 pound one found in the dm 600 kit. The lighter highway version found in AMTs cruiseliner and r600 would be more common. Same for the front axle.
  10. Correct Macks two stick trannys were all in one housing. The dm800 frame is like the dm600
  11. Nice I remember a WS ad with that very paint scheme.
  12. No problem the Allison is somewhat different in design from an automotive tranny.
  13. Sure would it was designed for large truck use. Allison autos can be found even in the heavyist of trucks.
  14. We use 24" x 24" x 60" boxes on our flats
  15. The nta 370 also has a verticle oil cooler unique to the nta series where as the ntc oil cooler is horizontal.
  16. Looks like nothing more than a Cascadia with a facelift.
  17. Perhaps the cab isn't as one piece as it appears and the normal size cab tilts normally away from the addition.
  18. Kinda of ironic I just read an article on Hall Scott and they discussed that KW. It apparently displaced 2239 cid no wonder it got 1.5 miles to the gallon.
  19. Actually thats a Hall Scott v 12 marine engine in that KW it was found to be to thirsty for practical use.
  20. older cummins 50s early 60s were cummins gold similar to old cat yellow. ford used blue for many years in their heavy and mediums.
  21. Correct the real truck had a ntc 400 and 13 speed eaton fuller
  22. Not an unusual site with oil field trucks but a neat old Autocar none the less.
  23. Looks fine to me,but of course looks are subjective.
