  1. Pretty well stated. But this thing will never see production as a whole. Elements of it will appear on newer models though. As far as traditional hoods disappearing I've heard that ever since the t600 come out in the 80s and they're still here. Holding they're value better than any aero truck. The modern traditional hoods have less in common with 60s,70s counterparts than they do with the aero trucks. Some of the future tech that works well in the lab doesn't work so well in the real world.
  2. WOW!!!!!! Used to be one just like that on display at the old Brazil 70 ambest in Brazil Indiana before Steel City then Petro took over. Great work love the Cummins gold paint
  3. Lonestar and Prostarshare cabs so should be easy project with Moebius kits.
  4. 855 block cummins ie n14 and big cam and 3406 cat are about the same physical size both are simialar shaped the interchange fairly easily should be neat project.
  5. Apparently a new option this year.
  6. Found this on the truckpaper first Prostar with stacks and a 550 ISX
  7. Used to be some resins of the Conco out . I do seem to remember the 903 Cummins being an option. As I recall pretty much engine options were the same as other Ih's of the time.
  8. Can't remember who makes resin 6.7 cummins but it is mentioned somewhere here on the forum.
  9. The resin 6.7 would be closest. Two more to add to the list Ertl metal frame Volvo n 12 has a 12l volvo and the Ertl Pete 359 metal frame kit has a poor Detroit 8v92t. Also the Italeri Renault ae magnum has 1/24 Mack e9 v8
  10. It's almost good enough to be a scale model. Doesn't Tamiya do plastic models too hint hint.
  11. Like you say a cheesy hybrid. Yes some n14s had the pt mechanical pump
  12. I would say a cheesy n 14 not really accurate like you pointed out. Also the n 14 of lower horsepower ratings had a different style valve cover that were stamped not cast. But that intake definately ressembles an n 14.
  13. These vans didn't sell well back then and since custom vans are all but non existent now they probably would sell even less.
  14. Great list but here are a few corrections The Cat 3208 in the Ford 8000 is actually a Cat 1160 a fore runner to the 3208. And Cummins ntc 400 non aftercooled in the Italeri kits is actually a Cummins n14. The Cummins ntc 350 and nta 370 in real life are quite different versions of the 855 block most noticable on nta's is the vertical oil cooler.
  15. Looks good the short wheelbase is actually typical back then as most trailers had round noses.
  16. How about AMT 2021 dirt hauler and 2020 North American van lines kits both before the 1969 California hauler kit. I believe they were about 1/32nd scale. Pictures can be found on public fotki site under AMT
  17. You all know I was being sarcastic about the never produced garbge truck kit right.
  18. I remember back in 76 everything that could be painted red white and blue was.
  19. Those stars and stripes Macks would be a cool build.
  20. My memory could be rusty but still a very rare kit. Perhaps the c ford garbage truck could be considered even rarer considering it never got beyond the box art stage.
  21. Those Macks were earlier around 70 72
