  1. Always thought Mack should of done a big bunk cruiseliner. GMC did do a few big bunk astro's outsourced but they are super rare. Anyway nice builds.
  2. Wonder if the 9900 will recieve similar updates?
  3. Correct just shorten the frame and swap in a cummins and fuller.
  4. That trailer would be a Brown. The reefer was a dummy unit. And the BJ and the bear kit is identical to the regular k100 aerodyne just different t box art and decals. Has the detroit allison engine tranny combo the real BJ and the bear truk had a Cummins ntc 400 and 13 spd fuller. Ertls great dane would be the closest thing i 1/25 scale.
  5. Yes there is. I find rattle cans of Cat yellow at farm stores like tractor supply rural king farm n fleet etc also some auto parts places like napa.
  6. No prob was looking for 1:1 pics too not much luck.
  7. It was marketed as IH but I highly suspect it to be Neway. As far as the h63 really anything would work as to the best of my knowledge there was no factory air ride option.
  8. Time to lock this thread the question has been answered.
  9. I agree This is also a family forum and the word forum means people can voice their opinions within the forum rules. You could have made your return comment without coping an attitude. Nobody has to ask for anybodies opinions or ideas here this is a forum a place to exchange opinions and ideas within the rules of the forum.
  10. Shapeways.com LuckeyPro7
  11. Nice piece from Dave also noticed some nice 1/32 cabs and wheels on shapeways the 3d printing sight.
  12. Actually the 1977 general brochure on public fotki clearly shows several pics of an 8v92n in a general. AMT's kit is based on a 77 general.
  13. The N 14 was offered in both electronic and mechanical versions side by side till at least 93. All N 14's 435 and up had the cast aluminium red valve covers while those under 435 had stamped steel black covers. The N 14 came in 330,350,370,410,435,460,500 and 525 hp versions as well as dual rated versions 330/370,370/435 and 435/500. I put hundreds of thousands of miles on these great engines.
  14. I've seen several 880s with Cummins ISx power actually also Cummins powered 830s too.
  15. I've seen several 880s with Cummins ISx power actually also Cummins powered 830s too.
  16. Correct the old 4 bag didn't have much travel. The torsion bar could ride well even better than the ag 100 but was a maintainance night mare. I believe the ag 100 came out in 78 or 79 It was upgraded in the 90s with bigger airlines and faster reacting valves. The ag 200 and 400 were much improved versions but the KW 8 bag is still a rougher ride than others on the market. I see alot more newer KWs with the ag400L now than anything . The ag400L is the same as the Peterbilt low leaf and for that matter the KW ag380 is the same as the Pete flex air. All Paccar.
  17. Good point in fact any bicentennial vit 200 Kw coe or hood shouldn't have the 8 bag since it didn't exist yet in 1976
  18. Revell snap kit (really Monogram) is good Revell of Germany w900 or k100 kits too. Hendickson 4 bag and Reyco 4 bag were available on t600s as well in those days. Millis transfer had several that way. Better ride and lighter.
  19. I was talking about the days prior to deregulation in the early 80s. Mainly the 50s and 60s. 53 footers didn't come along till the very early 90s 102 wides the mid 80s. You're quite correct on bridge but many states don't enforce it nearly as strictly as they did when 53s first come out. California still does. The surface transportation act of the 80s really change things a lot.
  20. East coast trailers also had there tandems up further while west coast trucks they were clear back. Cabovers were much more prominent east of the Mississippi river than to the west. The dividing line between east and west was generally the Mississippi river Since deregulation in the 80s the distiction between the two has all but faded away.
  21. Yeah! Funny back when they were originally out discount stores marked them down to nothing now look at em.
  22. Correct there can also be be additional air lines with additional lift axles as well.
  23. Actually the upturned manifold and u shape was to clear the steering shaft. If you notice the 8v71 and 12v71 are the same width. 12v71 manifolds exit to the rear like the 8v71 normally. It depended on the truck they were in.
  24. Don't have a link but it's under the forum section seperate from the pic section.
