fitforbattle replied to tubbs's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I think it's really cool to do a swap for something modern or race. How about an older (not old old) cosworth? -

Simulated both tyre wear and thermal degradation. Some asphalt in the rims. Just need to mess down the inner rim. -

Thanks guys, makes me glad you like it. Brakes and calipers done, AP Racing. Tires almost done, need some position and driver markings, and rims need weathering/shadowing and some bolts and decals. -

Hahaha, don't even get me started... I've had nightmares about this for the last few nights. Nah, had some practice with some other race cars and also, Tamiya are nice enough to provide a step-by-step tutorial on how they did it. It'll go just fine! (I keep telling myself that ) -
As an European, IMSA is just MAD. Cars look soooo insane. I like almost every car I've seen. The IMSA Audi 80's, Zakspeed Capris, and now this. Wow. Insane.

Finished the interior while waiting for the paint to gas out. Just need to attach the roll cage and dash. Minimal effort, except for seatbelts and some sit-wear on the suede seat. Some shiny spots also on the steering wheel suede. -
Top shelf work man. Museum work. Unbelievable.

Nice car! What class did this race? And when? 80?

Looks terrific! And I agree, somewhere you just got to say enough is enough.

Doing it box stock since I'm a fan of the Japanese GT-series. Here it is, she's a beauty. -

Shot the body, orange peel on some spots but should be easily polished down. A bit done on the interior as well.. Thinking this will be finished tonight so I can start the assembly. Questions and comments are welcome. -
