As said above "prepping is the key". Before the primer goes on my car gets sanded from 400 grit all the way to 12000 grit. And after each coat of primer and paint. I use the Don Youst method. The money I spent buying his DVD's are well worth the investment.
Good luck
Mike
#1 for this year is my first build of Revell of Germany kit. #2 will be the iconic Revell 49 Mercury.
#3 will be a build of a Polar Lights I have resin 69 Corvette that I want to use.
Of course all picks are subject to change
I am going start to using acrylic paint in my airbrush . I am getting tired of the clean up that comes with lacquer and enamel paint. I plan to participate in this years Cannon Ball Run
Happy New Year

My 55 was built OOB.I did add front and back seat belts, front seat pull straps, floor mats, and BMF.I used original paint colors from MCW. I highly recommend MCW.
Happy New Year

My friend Tulio challenged me to build to build some OOB cars. So I took his challenge. So here they are.
This year I did some experimenting with backgrounds. What do you guys think about using backgrounds VS just the car?
My only non out of box
I haven't seen this movie since it's original showing at Chicago's Montclair Theater. It's still funny But the real stars are the cars and trucks.
Mike
I never saw one of these before. Looks like a very fun kit to build. This would make a KOOL Santa Sleigh. Santa figure ,presents ornaments, and whatever else to make in to a Christmas Sleigh.
Good luck
Mike .
I would tow the Chevy to the track with the Wagon. The Charger comes out at midnight and terrorizes anything that dares to hit the streets.
Nice cars
Mike
The one that I bought was for the Lindberg 64 Dodge. Now that I looked at the car. The PE kit did come with instruction's for the grille but that was it. No parts list. Yes some of the parts are obvious but there were quite a bit that I could not figure out. Maybe they forgot to put the parts list in the bag.
Mike
I have tried using some PE sets from Model Car Garage. The quality is no problem but there are no instructions or a parts list identifying what the part is. Does Hobby Design put instructions or a parts list their sets?
