  1. The only way to gain more depth of field on a typical SLR is to stop down the lens (make the aperture smaller), F16 or F22. Or even more if your lens allows. But of course as you stop down you're letting in less light... so you either need a longer exposure or external lighting and/or flash, depending on your situation.
  2. They wouldn't even have to do that. They could have done a simple google image search. If I can do it, they can do it. No excuse for missing obvious details like the bed wall ribs and the "FORD" letters on the tailgate. No excuse at all, not when literally hundreds of images are just a mouse click away.
  3. Nicely "imagineered," but what keeps water out of the engine intakes during a rainstorm? Or can this one only be driven on a clear day?
  4. You go to their website and download the latest version. Google Chrome: http://www.google.com/chrome?&brand=CHMA&utm_campaign=en&utm_source=en-ha-na-us-bk&utm_medium=ha Safari: http://www.apple.com/safari/ Firefox: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/
  5. I doubt that it's freezing your computer; it's probably freezing your web browser software. And that's because you probably are using an old, outdated browser that can't handle the latest website technologies. Solution: update to a current browser and your problems with Photobucket will disappear.
  6. It works well, it's cheap, it's available at any auto parts store. It's a can't-miss. Just have to watch out... they sell a one-part glazing putty that comes in a tube that looks almost exactly the same. You want the "Professional" version; that's the two-part stuff.
  7. You already did the google image search and nothing interested you??? http://www.google.co...974l0.10.2l12l0
  8. I like Bondo "Professional" glazing putty. It's a 2-part putty, but it comes in a smallish tube... so you're more likely to use it up before it goes bad. It's about $7-8.
  9. John, you sure do love your Alclad, don't you? BTW... how durable is a finish like that? Do you have to handle it extra carefully? Does Alclad pick up fingerprints easily? Does it rub off easily, or is it about as durable as a typical paint finish?
  10. I have to agree with Ken and the others. At "regular" prices, a nice-enough model. At a premium price... I'd expect better.
  11. I'm not into this car either, but the smooth walls in the bed looked odd to me... so I did a google search. And I also noticed just now that the FORD letters on the tailgate are missing. That's not to imply that Steve's model is bad... actually I think he did a beautiful job. Since Steve specified that his build is OOB, I have no complaint with his work. I'm just pointing out a few things I noticed that are missing in the kit, for whatever it's worth.
  12. Nobody can help you if they don't know what you're talking about. BTW... full name in signature line. It's a forum rule.
  13. You did yours out of the box and you did a great job... it looks very good. However, if the builder wants to "go the extra mile," they'll have to recreate the ribbing on the bed walls that Trumpeter apparently forgot:
  14. Agreed on backing away a bit. The closer to the subject you are, the less depth of field you get. It's just how lenses work, there's no way around it, no matter what camera you have. So just back away from the subject (shoot from about 2 feet away, do NOT use the macro setting, that's for close-up shots), then just crop out the background in the finished shot so the car fills the frame more.
  15. Apply the decal, then cut the door lines.
  16. ?????? Nobody is on my ignore list. How can I be a moderator if I have people on my ignore list? And besides, my comment was in regard to dougie88's comment (which I quoted and my comment was in response to), not anything Ken said. Are you guys on the same forum I'm on?
  17. One can of paint is enough to do several models.
  18. Missed this? I don't think so. What I said was that sales of Deuces and '57 Chevies did not fund the release of the "oddball" kit in the case of Moebius... because Moebius doesn't sell Deuces and '57 Chevies. So now, who missed something?
  19. Better a newly tooled kit of a car that has never been kitted before than yet another Deuce or '57 Chevy...

  21. Correct. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0057729/
  22. Click on the link that says "Order Page." Or just click here: http://decalsbylucas.com/Order_Page.html
  23. Wow... and we think the USPS is slow!
  24. How about this one? Real or model? The answer: MODEL!
