  1. How about spraying a couple of light coats of clear acrylic over the whole sheet? Or a coat of Future? Of course now you have to trim right up to the decal edge when you apply them, but wouldn't the clear acrylic hold the decals together and prevent them from disintegrating?
  2. Who needs to send a resume to some guy named "Gregg" when I rule an entire eastern European country???
  3. You'd see them coming out of the distributor!
  4. Very nice and clean. I love the white wheels and headlights, a nice touch. I can't help but wonder, though, how good this model would look with some engine detail (wiring, carb linkage, etc.)

I don't know if you think it's worth the bother, but you could increase the realism of that little car a lot by doing some simple detail painting. A black wash on the grille and wheels, some foil on the headlights and then some clear epoxy "lenses," painting the "leather" hood strap brown... that sort of thing. Simple but effective.
  6. Incredible! In several of those photos it could pass for the real car.
  7. I'm impressed! Scratchbuilt, and fully detailed too! Very nice...
  8. Hmmmmm.... I would think they would have gone beyond the "four giant antennas" technology into a self-contained unit. But then again... what do I know?
  9. Stupid question: what are all the antennas for?
  10. Oh, I almost forgot to ask... I didn't see the "before" version of this. Is it a kit or scratchbuilt?
  11. Wait. What???!!! You mean you posted your model, received some comments from members, took the comments as intended and not as a personal attack, reworked your model based on the comments and suggestions, and re-posted the improved model???!!! Does anyone else know this can be done?
  12. You're being very true to the original idea... nice work!
  13. You guys seem to have completely lost sight of what this topic is about. "Does anyone know of a list of the kits in this series that Monogram put out?" (Monogram classics).
  14. How about this one? The answer: REAL!
  15. That's exactly what I was asking. Thanks!
  16. I love it! So clean and precise... your foil work is outstanding! And I see you made a generator bracket. Many people overlook that detail. Very nice work in every way, a big "thumbs up" from me!
  17. Care to let the rest of us in on your little in-joke?
  18. What did you use to create it?
  19. I hope Mike Lomaka sees this! He's going to be very pleased...
  20. Been there, done that. The good news for you is, it's over! Best of luck with your "new life!"
  21. My pleasure! Those were (are) some great kits... I built 3-4 of them as a kid, would like to redo them with the skills I have now.

  23. I deleted all of the posts that had nothing to do with posting photos. But Clay's explanation, though well intended, is too complex. His explanation is harder than the actual process itself! Plus, since Clay did his tutorial, Photobucket has changed it's site and things there look (and work) a little differently. It's now actually much easier to upload photos from there to here. In fact, it's incredibly easy. A simple 3-4 step tutorial would cover it. I don't have time to do this, but if anyone out there can do a simple, straightforward, easy to understand, illustrated, foolproof step-by-step tutorial on how to post photos from Photobucket to here (and from Fotki to here), please go right ahead. If your tutorial is a good one, we'll put it here in the General section and pin it... and also pinned down in the Tips section.
  24. So far roughly 50% of the people who have responded say they do shop online, and another 45% say they do occasionally. So 95% of us either shop online a lot, or at least once in a while. No surprise there, I guess. But I am surprised that roughly 5% of you say you have never shopped online. This is 2011! I find it incredible that 5% of you have never shopped online. How about an explanation if you are one of those people. How can you have ignored the huge variety of products available online for so long? I mean, obviously you do go online... after all, you answered this poll. But why have you never shopped online?
  25. Lots of nice Mopar chassis photos here: http://www.autotraderclassics.com/car-article/Road+Runner+Chassis+Restoration+Part+1-66658.xhtml?conversationId=373714 and here: http://www.autotraderclassics.com/car-article/Road+Runner+Chassis+Restoration+Part+2-66960.xhtml
