  1. Yeah, I guess so. But it wasn't done on purpose! Final vote 44-8 REAL. And it is real... sort of. I found this picture and didn't realize that it was a Photoshopped rendering until a couple of people sent me a link to the original photo. So the car is real, but the wheels and the roofline have been altered (not by me!).
  2. But apparently they've finally figured out a way to hide the tanks? No wonder they lost the Cold War...
  3. No problem... if anyone tried to mess with their fuel tanks they would beat them off with that log!
  4. Hmmm... carrying spare fuel in two completely visible and vulnerable barrels? Maybe they should have just gone ahead and painted bullseyes on them while they were at it. I hope the guy who designed that served some time in Siberia!
  5. Thank you, Dan! I'll be honest... reactions like this make all the work worth the time and effort.
  6. Ok... that was my mistake. Brad used the word "remove" in his original text... I have no idea how or why the word "channeled" was used instead. Maybe I was under the influence of.... uh... oh, forget it. I screwed up.
  7. Hmmm... I'll have to go back and check Brad's original text. If I screwed up I'll come clean!
  8. Why don't you do everyone a favor and knock off the silliness. Nobody is demanding perfect English or perfect spelling... just post in regular English like everyone else, please.
  9. And that thing that looks like a log??? What's that?
  10. Everyone can clearly see that one is a scam...
  11. There have been lots of all-clear kits. You probably just didn't see them!!!
  12. There might be a few hard-core builders out there who would prefer to do their own chrome, but I would guess that the vast majority of people who buy and build model car kits would NOT want the hassle of having to do their own chrome. And many kids probably buy a lot of kits because of all the chrome parts! The kit manufacturers are never going to risk alienating the majority of their customers in order to please a handful, it makes no business sense whatsoever. And as previously stated, it's waaaaaay easier to remove chrome (if that's what you want to do) than to replace or recreate it.
  13. Agree, agree and agree! And don't forget "The Watchman's Gone" and "Slide on Over." two other good ones.
  14. ok... stupid question, but what were those barrels on the back end filled with? And is that a log across the back? What was that for??? I guess my complete lack of any knowledge of tanks is pretty obvious!
  15. It would have made more sense for you to send him a PM directly.
  16. There's our new slogan: Model Cars keeps you regular!
  17. Uh... wasn't the Sunliner a convertible???
  18. Real or model? The answer: REAL! (sort of)...
  19. Beautiful!!! That is one fine model...
  20. Your story sounded so believable, I figured it might be real! I even googled it to find some references, but of course, found nothing. I also found it odd that on such a well-detailed model you would have left the scripts in paint. Very not like you to miss something like that! It's hard to tell from the photos that they're chrome, but if you say they are, that's good enough for me...
  21. Either drill out the exhaust tips or paint them flat black.
  22. Wow... just in time to be outdated!
  23. There are 25.4 mm to an inch... so 1" = 1mm is pretty darn close.
