  1. Beautiful build of a beautiful car.
  2. Very cool all around... especially the chassis (suspension) detail. Good looking car!
  3. According to what I read, Mercury yearly sales are lower than they have been in decades. Ford is going to push the Lincoln brand. Lincoln will be getting the cool new models (and hybrids)... and gradually Mercury will be phased out by 2012.
  4. When this model actually hits the shelves it'll be THE model car event of the year. This one should be an absolute smash!
  5. I don't see a "quick reply" option either. It must depend on which skin you're using.
  6. Just heard the news... Mercury will be history soon. http://www.leftlanen...ad-by-2012.html http://mobile.wxyz.com/w/main/story/11277715/ and many other sources...
  7. Final vote: 32 REAL, 19 MODEL. Which means... you guys got it! It's REAL! Auto ID Quiz coming MONDAY!
  8. Maybe this is too obvious... but what about "Nick's Towing?"
  9. Very cool, no matter what you call it!
  10. The problem with every "value guide" is that it's out of date immediately after it comes out. "Values" (or in other words, the price buyers are willing to pay) fluctuate constantly. No printed "value guide" can be used as an accurate guide because prices are constantly changing. The best way to see what any particular collectible is worth is to check ebay. You'll get an idea of what the item in question is currently going for. Current ebay prices are about as accurate a "value guide" as you'll find.
  11. I wonder if the buyer will restore it or leave it as is?

  13. You need to add some graphics to it... looks kinda empty. Do you have any decals you could use on the side panel area of the upper body? Or maybe some flames for the sides? You have a whole lot of empty canvas there...
  14. A very small brush and a steady hand! If you were painting the firewall body color, you could "paint" the molded in wires with colored Sharpies, but since the firewall will be black, the only way to highlight those molded-in wires is by painting them or maybe using a colored gel pen (might take several coats from the gel pen to get opaque coverage over black, though). I've seen sets of 6 different colored gel pens on sale at Office Max and Office Depot. Might be worth a shot.
  15. Isn't it true that there are really only a handful of actual tire manufacturers, and they make all the various "brands" of tires out there? I seem to remember reading that once...
  16. How about this? Real or model? The answer: REAL!
  17. Being a taxi driver is a dangerous job. You never know what kind of crazy nut you might pick up next. I don't know what your personal situation is, but if it was me I'd be looking to change careers right about now. That incident would have been my last fare...
  18. Ok, kind of clever... but why? A regular X-acto knife works perfectly well... why the "Rube Goldberg" contraption when a normal blade/handle works just fine? Just wondering, because I've used a normal X-acto knife for many years without any problems...
  19. Why in the world would you want to do that??? Good thing you came to your senses and built it!
  20. "Down" to 391???!!! Wow... we have some BIG BOYS here on the forum...
  21. Well, since those warning labels are usually on the side of the visor that you don't see when the visor is up, I'd say...NO!
  22. Wonder why it was shot in a cemetery???
  23. The dictionary definition of a motorcycle is a self-propelled two-wheeled vehicle. And as far as I know, "trike" is short for "tricycle," which means three wheels. So a vehicle with four wheels is not a motorcycle and not a "trike."
