  1. That looks really great Toni.
  2. Welcome to our plastic playground Lee.
  3. That's looking good so far Tyler. I'm also a fan of 50's cars and look forward to seeing this progress.
  4. Great looking collection of Deuces Phil.
  5. I think of myself as somewhere between an intermediate and an advanced builder. While I like to compete in contests, not every model starts out to be a contest entry. That decision comes when the model is finished and if IMHO everything went together well and turned out as planned in my mind's eye. I try to do the best job I can on just about every model I build even though they may not always look like it.
  6. Welcome to our plastic playground Sam. I'm sure you'll eventually get around to using Bare Metal Foil for the chrome trim on your models. That paint job looks pretty good for your first model.
  7. I'm watching this project of yours too Harry. I've always wondered why the kit mfgrs. can't have the ejector pin marks on the back side of the parts where they won't be seen.
  8. X2
  9. Toni, that looks fabulous. Great work on all the bodywork and the engine compartment details...... I love it.
  10. Nice job Ken.
  11. Model Car Garage sells the '40 Ford Standard PE set with the grille for $10.99...... Part # SKU-2274.
  12. I'm thinking that IF anyone who placed large orders for kits and/or parts with Modelhaus with the intention to resell them for a profit, they very likely will sit on the stuff until Modelhaus actually completely shuts down so they are sure they have a "lock" on that supply of mdse. IF someone who bought Modelhaus kits with the intention of reselling them at a profit, I wonder what crazy prices they would ask for them. A lot of modelers feel that Modelhaus' prices are or were already too expensive, but there is always someone out there who will just "have to have" it. Only time will tell if and when we start to see Modelhaus' stuff show up on EBAY or at shows and swap meets.
  13. Condolences to your family Tony.
  14. That's a sharp looking Chevy Howard.
  15. I had placed my final order for 4 kits and some parts back in May and I don't expect it to be shipped until sometime at the end of this year. I have several other kits of theirs for 1950's cars already "stockpiled". Those, along with the other promos and plastic model kits in my TO DO stash pile will surely be enough to keep me busy for several years, at the slow rate that I've been building lately. I'm wondering how long it will be before we start seeing Modelhaus' kits and parts showing up on EBAY and/or at shows and swap meets at ridiculously high prices. I'm sure a number of people who inundated the Holthaus's with orders are of the unscrupulous, money-hungry type.
  16. Welcome to our plastic playground Greg.
  17. Great job Jason, I love the color.
  18. That's a great looking model Jason. I've got one of these in my large TO DO pile.
  19. Wow... I remember watching those Superman TV shows when I was a kid. RIP Noel...
  20. Welcome to our plastic playground Paul.
  21. I received the January issue yesterday.
  22. Nice looking Edsel Tim...... but I'd fix those backup lights as stated above.
  23. That looks pretty cool Jim.
