  1. Thanks for the great comments guys. I don't have any updates. The body pieces are still sitting there waiting to be cleared. Been really busy with other things so not much time for building. Hopefully I can get it cleared within the next week or so and then start final assembly.
  2. That is a 427 SOHC. It is a total pile. But with some work you can make it look pretty good. Here is one I did (different front cover and scratch built injection)
  3. Started this one a couple weeks back. Will be similar to this.
  4. Good lookin truck A.D.L. I need to get back to my 34 truck build one of these days.
  5. Here is the 1/24 continental v12 next to a 1/25 revell v8. The scale difference will never be seen by the eye. The distance between the bottom of the oil pan and top of the block is the same on
  6. Im looking for a set of dually wheels and tires to fit on the new meng f350. I know you can get some from the modelhaus and also the monogram ford but I am looking for more of a late model wheel with bigger off-road tires. Would even consider 19.5 or 22.5 alcoa wheels but need more aggressive tires. I am wanting to build another welding rig and in order to get around on the ROW you need some good tread. Any help would be appreciated.
  7. Finally was able to get some time at the bench. Here is the completed engine.
  8. Got some pulleys machined and the distributor wired with accel wires.
  9. Thanks. I spray rustoleum texture paint over black primer and then spray Nason semigloss black over it.
  10. Was able to get some more done. Everything is painted except the interior and body. I machined a new air cleaner and added some mesh. I also got the inside of the bed rhino lined.
  11. Thanks for the info...saw it in other threads. I actually owned a '75 F-150 in high school so I'm pretty familiar with these trucks.
  12. All of the contests I go to state that the model has to be built by the entrant.
  13. Just starting this one. Not the most accurate kit but good enough for the shelf. I replaced the kit front springs with some scratch built ones. Here is a mockup using the jeep rubicon wheels and tires...planning on using the krawlers from Chief
  14. Looks good! What tires did you use? The krawlers from Chief Joseph?
  15. I was thinkin the same thing. I'm going to order up a couple sets of them maybe for this truck or the upcoming moebius 4x4 ford.
  16. Got mine today! Have to say that this kit is TOP quality. You can almost just cut the parts from the tree and paint it without any cleanup. I did a quick mockup to show that the kit wheels will fit into the ground hawg tires(from the mad mudder?) and look pretty good. Of course there will need to be a slight lift involved.
  17. Looks very nice. Will be getting mine next week and was wondering if it would be easy to give it a small lift kit? I don't want to be "that guy", so please take this as constructive criticism...the part where the mirrors attach should also be black and not body color. You did such a great job on the rest...even painted the rubber window moldings...it would look even better with the mirror areas painted black too.
  18. I will throw my two cents in as far as the seats go. I drive an F-550 super duty for work and have them all around our company and from what I can see in the pics they look pretty close to the real thing to me. I will be able to judge it better when I get one.
  19. Great start. Can't wait to see it progress. Glad you received your tank set.
  20. Where did you order from?
  21. I also use tamiya red with dullcote. Here us a 64 dodge I did after a little research for the colors.
  22. Thanks. This is the amt kit but I used a revell front axle and flathead.
