You know I am really enjoying this.

Are you using a contour guage to get the right cut for the inner wheel wells? Or do you do the old cut to fit card stock, then when you get it right, transfer that to the styrene sheet?

Jonathan, I am referring to the cruise-in that takes place every Sat in Scottsdale, and is one of the longest running cruise-ins in the country. They have hots rods, muscle, tuners, exotics, you name it. This past weekend, there were several tuned FRS there as well. Thanks everyone. I am glad you like it. Danno, there are a few small updates that need to be made to it prior to the Desert Scale Classic, that I did not get done prior to the Modelzona show. Not major items, but I want to add plates etc. My goal was not to go too overbaord on details, so that it would retain a more period correct feel.

I tried the embosing poweders myself, but it looks more like the rubber matt than carpets.There must be different "grades" of the powder. The fur can also look out of scale. I have had luck with the make it suede paint, then paint to desired color as well. Depends on the project.

a few more.

Started off with an AMT parts pack frame. Body and motor from the 3n1 Model T ford kit, the headers are from a Switcher's 32. The gas tank was cut down from the tube that a touch n flow super glue applicator came in, electric fan from a fellow builder that was generous enough to donate one of his castings. I did not get the fuel lines on before the pictures were taken, as I just snap several shots yesterday morning before the IPMS Modelzona show in Phoenix. Paint is Ultracolor Spearmint toner over silver, Alclad for some of the chrome work, and most of the white fine primer. Steering was functional, steering wheel actually moved the front wheels, but it was too week, and started to cause problems, so I had to fix the wheels in place.

I got it done, just yesterday morning just before heading out to the Phoenix IPMS show Modelzona. There are things that I would like to have turned out better, but all in all, I like it. I will post more pics in the under glass section.

Have not seen one of those done up nicely in some time. nice job indeed

Dave, I seem to recall that now but had forgotten about the saw. I wonder if a stiff wire brush would also give smaller grains. Thanks!
