  1. It used to be the weekend was my build time, but that has become a little harder lately. For me, I make that time now after work most nights. I come in, shower etc, eat dinner, then into the model room until bed time. Even if I only get an hour a night on the weeknights, that is still 5 hours a week. And that is what I need to end my day anyway, that relaxing hobby time. If you have the little ones, do not sacrifice that time with them, but maybe start to include them in the hobby with you. Otherwise, I would trade in the TV time, and then only watch that on the weekends with the spouse.
  2. Ah...but you don't know what you don't know, so how do you search for the unknown? Reading magazines etc may spark interest or creative juices for a project. Maybe you never heard of a particular builder/engineer/product, but once you do, NOW you go online and search up more info about them. I have done that with builders I have seen in Hot Rod magazines for a while now.
  3. nice save on the decal! A pain I bet.
  4. Very cool! You detail out the underpinnings as well? Nice work on the body.
  5. Welcome, and build on!
  6. catch 22, people don't post things there because they see no buyers, then buyers do not shop there because there is nothing posted. and the cycle continues. Shame really. Great idea, and very cool of it to be offered.
  7. I am thankful that a company like Moebius is even still around to prodcue new kits. Sure, I like the old kits, and will still buy them when needed, but fresh product is always nice to have, especially at the level of detail that I see in your products. Thanks for all you do, and keep on creating!
  8. very imaginative, using sources for parts like you have
  9. Have you been mountnig your door handles before painting or after? I just drilled out the body of my kit, and am prepping them for pinning after paint, but I am concerned about teh color variation if I do, but it will make it easier to sand polish with them off.
  10. Very nice, looks like you retained some skills. Glad you have something that you may be able to share with your son. My sons have very little interest in cars, beyond transportation.
  11. I enjoy the classics! Build on.
  12. Welcome! Ignore the recent system issues, few and far between in my opinion. Build on, and share those pics!
  13. Fantastic that it had such an impact on her. Thanks for the share.
  14. oh so very cool
  15. I plan on asking around. I work for Toyota Financial Services and while we are a wholly subsidiary of Toyota, decisions like that would likely come the manufacturing side. BUT....keep asking until someone knows, right? LOL Yeah Jonathan, MENG came to mind, but just cannot imagine Toyota going for that. I honestly think that Moebius would stand a better chance, but that would seem too new a model year for most of what they are doing.
  16. Being an employee of Toyota's US finance arm, I really wish that SOMEONE would tool up a Tundra., TORRANCE, Calif., November 18, 2014 — The 2015 Tundra TRD Pro Desert Race Truck not only raced for over 1,200 miles to a first place finish at the 47th Tecate SCORE Baja 1000, it was also driven an additional 1,000 miles back to the start line of the race. The Toyota team was first to the finish line in its “Full Stock” class, led by team coach and legendary Toyota off-road racer Ivan “Ironman” Stewart, and piloted by Toyota engineers and Toyota athletes. 17. Great model! The piece of zipper is a great use for that.
  18. Not sure if it was officially an annual or not, but I did put a more modern Starliner chassis under a 64 Galaxy.
