  1. But I've also noticed this with pictures that used to be in our individual galeries are also no longer showing up
  2. Tom, that avatar is there because I was inspired by the drawing. I built up the model and called it C-N-Things because it was a mash up of the C cab and other things. Here is a link to it. http://public.fotki.com/machman/models/builds-2013/c-n-things/
  3. Thanks guys! Yeah Bill, there have been several things that have made bench time a real premium this year, and in the case of this project, I kept running into issues with, but I always knew I would see it through. Thanks for checking in!
  4. The above two pics were from last night, just could not get them uploaded. Tonight, I got the gas tank mounts in place in the bed, got the lower radiator hoses on, side step plates to reach into the bed. I will have to get creative with the headlights, The bar no longer spans the fenders as the grill sits farther forward than I planned. (upcoming new-years resolution, test/trial fit more)
  5. Motor plumbed and wired. After these pictures, I mounted the grill so it could set aside and dry, then all is left if plates, headlights, radiator hoses, fuel tank, some final washes and touch ups. I just might finish it for this coming Saturdays Modelzona!
  6. This will be cool., looking forward to seeing the progress.
  7. Very nice
  8. Cool, just need to dirty it up a little, take it out hit the dirt
  9. Looks really good!
  10. Nice!
  11. Cool model
  12. SHARP!
  13. Very nice model. what was the source of your bee hive oil filter?
  14. I tend to use paint in a similar shade.
  15. Alclad has more than the chrome. they have a huge line, but the rub and buff is great. just use a very small amount on your fingertip, rub off on cardboard first, then smear it around. when it runs out, reload your fingertip. Here is a video of how to use AKINTERACTIVE Ture Metal, which is essentially the same thing. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.youtube.com/watch%3Fv%3DLPNGFAgWmGU&ved=0ahUKEwjTycnt7PnPAhVsx1QKHdRIAwIQwqsBCEcwBw&usg=AFQjCNEVJpor3geuFapejBi1VFJQcC_3GA&sig2=RvmjLBIkoGONXV8OE09bZA
  16. Iam not abig fan of Krylon in general. Are you looking only for spray Cans? If so, you may want to try testers metalizers. Otherwise, you can decant their bottles paints and use your airbrush. I really like Alclad as well. Another option, paint it flat black and use a small amount of rub and buff that you can pick up at hobby lobby of Michael's etc
  17. it is hard to give you feedback not knowing all the details. for example, Are you using tube glue or liquid fire? How long are you taking per model? How long have you been Building? eto. In general, use the right tools like good glue, sharp knives, etc, and take your time. Building models is usually not a race. Do you have an example of some of you main concerns that you would like suggestions on?
  18. I would not worry about the kit not coming back. A few days ago, I sent an email to Revell simply telling them that there were a lot of different rumours milling around, and asked if any were true, and if the kit would be back around. This is the response I got. "Hi, We have some issues involving this kit we cannot discuss at the moment. We are working to resolve them. When we have resolved them and have established a firm direct, we will let everyone know. Until then, please stand by. Sorry we can’t say more until then. Regards, Ed Sexton Revell, Inc."
  19. I emailed and asked if he was coming to next month's ModelZona and he said he was not going to be there this year.
  20. thanks for the detail shots. so the tires are no names, with no decals. hope there is an after marketing fix for that.
