  1. That's just pretty right there! Small cowl hood twin turbo car perhaps?
  2. Is this the next logical step for this kit? I would buy many
  3. This would have looked sick as a 69 trans am...
  4. Done for now. Trans will be painted last and fuel lines to go on
  5. Then got the engine coming together
  6. Then got to work on the carb and covers
  7. So, to recap. I went from cross ram to home modified intake, dominator and parts box finned valve covers Then dechromed it all
  8. Best news ever jim. Glad to hear this. Btw wheels on the way
  9. Can't wait to see where this goes Jim
  10. Thanks for the replies guys! I had built one of these long ago and I remembered fighting the side glass but had kind of forgotten about the dash so good catch there. I will be using the kit k member and frame on the front. The headers on the dart kit are great and the hemi fits nicely. There is a steering linkage issue but I have an easy solution in mind. It fills the engine bay just like the 1:1 swaps I have seen so all is well. Here it is mocked up in the k member Oh btw I won't be using those carbs. It wil be wearing something quite a bit nicer
  11. Very nice work here for a bunch of firsts! Keep it going
  12. That is pretty! The 71runners,satellites and GTXs are among my favorites
  13. Hey guys, I got the itch to build something different and a mopar fit the bill. The vette is still slowly moving as is the torino engine. I got the amt kit from a member here and just couldn't wait! I was going to go factory stock but until I nail down all the details on a stock one I'm going nasty street car! I already made a hood by adding a 69 super bee six pack scoop, mini tubbed it and did a few other small things. Power is coming from the cross rammed hemi from the 68 dart as well as Dana rear and inboard springs. It will have a cage and subframe connectors as well. It will also have full exhaust. It will look something like this
  14. Just beautiful Jim. I like how you did it in oddball colors too
  15. I like it too. I'm doing that on a 67 chevelle I have to dig out again
  16. Oh boy. The new GT350 came out today! Flat plane crank 5.2L 500 hp. Revs to the moon. New 6 speed, huge brembos, 19x10.5 front and 20x11 rears, all new wide aluminum front end. Active magnetic suspension like the GM stuff. Gonna be a sweet machine for the twisties crowd
  17. That is about the only practical use for this die cast based kit Tyrone. I look foreword to this build! I'm planning a small tire build of this car this winter
  18. I love it. Pm me and I will help you drop the front a bit
  19. I really like the way this is going. I'm all about small tire cars that don't look like they would run like crazy. Stockish body, tucked cages, you know the I look like an 11.0 car but am an 8.50 car type thing
  20. I think it looks meaner with a stock hood anyway
  21. Ok, sooo. If I wanted to build a nice duster in purple with the white stripes and white interior and no hood blackout it should have no hood scoops of any kind? What about the go wing? So is the green box art car wrong? What is this twister pkg? Why do I see paint daub restored cars in the mopar rags and on the internet with body color scoops and in one case a body color go wing? I read the wing was an option in 70/71 but 2 different styles. I have also seen pics of the hood blackout on a car that had the ladder stripe up the middle then the scoop on either side then the blackout ended on the outside edges of the scoops then a pinstripe. Ooof da! I may just put a six pack bee scoop on it and slicks and jam a hemi in it! Lol
  22. Thanks for the info. I do appreciate it. I guess I will build it how I want. Lol. Now, I have seen body colour go wings....
  23. Lol that's a lot of jumbled up info there. So what I got out of that was that a body color hood with body color twin scoops is totally NOT correct! And if you wanted the scoops you took the twister pkg with the black hood with ladder stripe up the middle. And if you wanted the 340 decal on the hood it was also mandatory black and the decal should only be black and white?!! Oh and scoop less. Wow. Seems to be a TON of incorrect cars out there lol. Think I'm going to take a page from my cuda build and build this car the way I would have ordered/ wanted it new
  24. That looks good! What I can't seem to nail down is if this scoop was actually a factory option for a 71? Some sources say no but then I look up info on correct restorations and there is that scoop again!! Think I'm just going to go twin scoops and no hood blackout. Is the 340 hood decal correct on a body color hood? Mopar did so many different things I don't even know what's correct anymore!!
  25. Amazing! I wish I lived closer to some of these events : (
