  1. I have sold numerous commissioned builds for 1k a pop. I had some I was thinning out on an auction site. One guy bid a 69 grumpys toy camaro to 1k then he wanted 4 more built. I did them over 8 months. Then I burned out. Having no creative input in the subjects over 8 months killed it for me. I have built a few mustangs for guys in my car club at 500 each too. It's all in what someone is willing to pay. If I'm happy and the end user is happy then that's the limit
  2. They were cheap like 5 bucks a set I think. Wait was fairly long but I wasn't in a rush. I understand it's a hobby for him too. I will see if I can find his e mail but it should be on his site
  3. Yes. I had to send an e mail and specifically ask for that style. I got a few sets of the 325/50 15s and some of the 275s as well
  4. This is the one here. The build I want to do I think it would look good but I'm also good with the twin kit scoops
  5. You mean the internet lied?? Lol. Ok, would one of you guys wanna pm me. I have a few more option questions. I'm a ford guy but I have a fairly good grasp of the mopar stuff but some of the options confuse me
  6. So it's a 72 scoop? Lots of pics show it on 71s too. I'm planning a full tilt resto type purple 71 so I wanna get it right
  7. Anyone make the twin scoop for the middle of the hood for a 71 duster? Kit comes with the 2 outboard scoops
  8. Just awesome Jim! I will check in with you tmo as I'm off work. Been on the road with hockey
  9. Glad you are back at this! It's incredible
  10. That should polish up. I have had that happen to me. These are turning out nice. May I ask why you only opened one door? I did a 70 mustang and asked how far to go and the overwhelming response was to do both or none. I did both
  11. Ma's resin made the rear tires. Thanks again for looking
  12. Turned out beautifully! And no, that is a gm ls engine in there
  13. Mine is the stock version of the 70 mercury cyclone. I NEEEED one
  14. I think it's awful and beautiful all at the same time! You nailed the look you wanted and it's well executed. Not my thing but I do like it. Good work
  15. I have been toying with that but I think the wheels will stay black to pull in the trim. If anyone has one of these kits they have parted out I need the brake light for the top of the rear deck. If not I'm filling the indent and doing something different but subtle back there
  16. There is a clue in the pictures. It's in the background. But now you have me thinking...
  17. Think it's taking shape! What do you guys think?
  18. Thanks. Yeah that is a little red splash I built around 98. It's got some stuff that was trendy around that time on it but it still shines up well. I will throw a pic up
  19. That is a thing of beauty. Great work That is a thing of beauty. Great work
  20. Just a quick update. Not much bench time lately. I wanted a little more aggressive hood and nose scoop. This is just the beginning. I want people to look and know something is a bit different but not so aggressive it stands out
  21. I have had a good experience here so far. I look at pretty much every build and I comment on many. Sometimes if the build is not my cup of tea I will just carry on to the next one. Biggest thing that even I myself have to realize is the diverse group we have. We have a wide range of abilities, budgets and ages here. Some guys don't have huge stockpiles to pull from or endless money for parts or products in which to create from. I notice some builders do improve on each build and some stay the same. Some builders ask for advice and some don't, that's where I'm careful to give it or keep it to myself. I have seen simple things like someone suggesting a wash on a grille or similar get all blown up. My thought is if you put it up here be prepared for the good and bad from it. I think the core group here is pretty level headed
  22. Thanks! I have been looking at different die cast things to steal parts from. I may have to commit. Trouble for me is that by the time I figure out the cost I'm pretty much at the point I can get resin tires and some micro nitro wheels. Provided I don't need them next day type of thing lol
  23. Where are the wheels and tires from?
