  4. Black is also correct for the power steering resivoir. The air pump should be aluminum though.

  7. I can accept that answer. So several well restored cars are not correct then? What I did was look at several sources and there were differences. I am a Ford guy and have a good grasp on most muscle cars but some of these finer points are good new info. Thanks I should put up some of the pics I have of T/As with the setup I described. I have learned that nothing mopar is set in stone either. Lol

  9. That right there. Don't nitpick on others stuff unless you are going to put up something that is clearly better. Don't tell me my firing order is wrong if you have never wired an engine. Don't say my paint could be smoother if yours is dull and looks like you dropped it in a sandbox. I like critiques (giving and recieving) and I'm happy to share ways to do things but only if asked. Most times if it's a terrible model I just don't say anything lol
  10. Thanks guys. The dust caps were made from the valve cover breathers on the glidden t bird. I just cut them to the size I wanted. Snake, you are right. Most of these things saw an early respray but I just can't decide on color. Lol. And Jim, the duster is also slowly moving along

  14. Here's the cap. I'm thinking that color with black interior and stripe. With those wheels and the period correct mods I think it would look pretty good. I'm also adding stuff a die hard camaro guy would maybe add as the years went by like the factory aluminum heads, chambered exhaust. I hope you guys enjoy the build as much as I have been so far
  15. I managed to make some parts to make these mount perfectly using the supplied metal pins. What a gong show that was. I dislike this new system. I lowered the front 2mm as well. Still going with a late 60s early 70s vibe with this. Still don't know what color. Does anyone know if GM Santa fe tan is close to butternut yellow?
  16. Hard to tell in the pics but the lug nuts are silver. I also made the front dust caps.
  17. Got a little done on this while waiting for torino parts to dry. Got the tires and wheels coming along.
  18. I'm fully aware of the parts makeup of Ford engines. I have a couple clevelands sitting here. In this scale the boss 302 would pass better than anything else in the boss 351. You could fudge it with a 385 series water pump to change up the look. A bit. The boss kit has a bunch of issues. Not just the engine lol
  19. It's the decal, no backing paper. I had to carefully sand the writing off the cover then paint the area white. I used every color stripe to get it right then went back to the one I needed. I had to micro sol the BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH out of it. Then once it was done I hit it with clear. Just a little touch to bring it all together
  20. I'm doing a boss 351 and am using the boss 302 from the cougar as its hands down the best boss in kit form The nascar engines are hybrids meaning they are windsor blocks with Yates cleveland heads. Why the new 70 mach engine does not have stock valve covers is beyond me
  21. Here is a basic un detailed shot of the engine and where it's headed. It will be cleanly wired up tmo hopefully. It was the valve covers that took some doing
  22. That's why you see so many of them being used.... Lol. Just stay away from the FMX if you can help it
