  1. I knew I saw them there. I was there also
  2. Nice stuff for sure. Where was the contest? They look familiar
  3. I have 3. A ton of work to get the fenders right. I have had the pleasure to see a real one. Was about ten years ago. A thing of beauty if you think of the era it was developed in.
  4. Now with that and the coil overs the front is pretty well set! I'm able to sneak the steering shaft in through the headers too! Here it's sitting on all 4 at ride height
  5. Got a bit more done. Adapted a manual rack and pinion steering setup. Made some brackets and got it started. Filing and trimming to make it pretty come next
  6. Turned out great Jim! Good writeup on how to use it too! I have used this stuff in the past and it does a nice job. Foil is going to make this car pop!
  7. There we go! About 30 seconds trimming and I had coil overs mocked up on the front. Couple stiffening brackets like I saw online and some detailing and the torsion bars are toast!
  8. Cool idea. It's not a unibody though. It has a full frame
  9. I have seen the kit car in person and it's correct. You don't just slap together a 67 k code gt. Lol
  10. My 68 cuda had inboard super stock springs, snubber and a Dana 60 with 4:88s. Big tires and it hooked! Now days cal tracs are the way to go. They work so good
  11. Thanks guys. I'm a Ford guy in the real world so I had to do a little looking but I found several ways to do coil overs. That's the plan of attack tonight. Also gonna scratch some cal trac bars for it and a fuel tank. By the time I'm done the chassis could be a model in itself. It will be wearing show type glossy plum crazy paint too
  12. Thanks again. I do have a decal for the oil filter but it will go on once the engine is in for final time. I got a bit more done on the chassis. Subframe connectors and rear cage plates in, driveshaft loop mocked up. The exhaust is pretty much sorted but I'm not ready to show that just yet. Now I'm building brackets for the manual steering rack and I need to make a little more room for the torsion bars near the headers. Not sure what to do there yet
  13. Google white interiors. Most if not all white interior cars in the 60s and early 70s had black dash, carpet, kick panels, package trays and sometimes headliners. Some of you think that a white interior was all white but that's not the case. See
  14. DEFINATELY go to the shelby american facility. I was at the old one at the speedway when I got a car converted there. Was at that one 3 times in total. The new one is way nicer I hear. If you want to see cobra #1 it's there to see.
  15. That is NICE!! Good job man, I've started several of these but finished none. Lol
  16. Thanks guys. I did quite well. All judging was on a 100 point scale. All my entries ranged from 93-98 points I won the senior detailer class with my silver 50 Ford truck. I also won two sponsor trophies with that model. I was quite pleased. Lots of great models at that contest. I'm thinking I will hit the only other one in my area this coming weekend
  17. Chassis work is winding down. Got everything set up to move the springs inboard, subframe connectors coming along too then it's primer time for this. I am putting rack and pinion steering on the front too and also a driveshaft loop. Plus full 3" exhaust has to fit. Lots to do!
  18. Back on this after a busy weekend. Cage coming together. It's actually just getting door bars after this and that's it.
  19. I have built both as well, currently working with the revell kit. Stretched the rear wheel openings 3 scale inches to make the tires fit better
  20. Thanks Mike. I expect you to have that camaro and cuda done soon! Quit that working stuff if you have to! Lol.
  21. Oh it's gonna be nice. I just finished a 67 but this kit is nice enough I'm following yours to do a 68. I love it!
  22. I used the slapper bars from the Baldwin motion 70 on my 67. Dropped right on
  23. Just keeps getting better. When I was a kid my uncle had a 68 RS/SS 396 4 speed aluminum head chambered exhaust convertible. It's a very rare car now. It was dark blue with black interior black top. White stripe across nose and down the door. I'll never forget that car. I know where it is. The guy won't sell as his son died working on it ( gassed). I keep trying but understand the situation
  24. Good stuff. I think this, the gtx, gtx convert and 70 bee are among my favorite kits
  25. Looks good. I have recently aquired a 67,68,69and 70 Cougars. I love the colour on this one
