I would think you would need the 69 header panel too. The 67/8 nose is flatter in the middle -

Totally different style grille. It may fit but it's not correct -
1969 Outlaw Camaro...updates (10/21/14)

Yup. It's beautiful. I think I like the silver/ black better than orange too! But I have a thing for silver/ black stripe cars... -
New project. Nasty LX notch oct 12 almost there!

Interior pretty much wrapped up. Pretty basic trim level. Rather than cloth seats on this one I opted for full vinyl. It was uncommon but was availible [url=http://smg.photobucket.com/user/freakshow12/media/244DE9C6-B21A-4987-A295-B1DFDEE2F276_zpsmldjb4hn.jpg.html][/pretty much box stock except flocking, cage and the modified shifter which I cut the knob off and replaced it with a white ball from another parts box one. I have a boost guage to put in but this car is supposed to be a fairly simple sleeper so not much going on inside : ) -
I love these types of mods. Most will look at it and think something looks different but not be able to pinpoint the changes. Good stuff

Nice work. I am also doing the drag mustang and have the glidden bird near my bench. Great taste

This is firery orange laquer. It's a decent burnt orange color. Would fit this build just fine -

Thanks very much guys for the kind words. I hope to have more worthy updates in the coming days. Just been working on the small stuff. Not too picture worthy -

Very nice. Be sure to check out the under glass just for 70 cudas. Many cool builds in there. If you are going for a very stock look the bell housing should be orange as well and the water pump was installed before paint so the bolts would be orange. Just food for thought. Off to a great start -
Turned out great!

There is the chassis with the different and relocated trans mount and the subframe connectors I made. I was able to get the stance bang on from my first mockup. Took some work but it's there -

Small update. Just a quick mockup with some interior and cage. Rear suspension is glued in at this point too -
"Track Rat" Fox body build - Finished!

You could use the 79/ 82 pace car/gt front air dam that's in the mpc kits. Think it would fit well on the front then modify it to your needs -
That's a boss 302. On a FE engine the intake manifold created a piece of the valve cover rail. This clearly has the cover only on the heads. Plus the covers themselves are boss 302 units. But call it whatever you want

Just a fantastic build Jim. Turned out great. I hope things work out well for your wife. We are thinking about you guys

Just about right I would say.

You will have my paypal this weekend. Can't wait! -
I don't think it's the mentioning of the flaw, it's the beating to death of it and the mud slinging and name calling. Harry, I really enjoy how you do builds. What I mean is that you build some different things and I have seen you work the review into the build. You don't like a part of the kit but you keep going, you don't harp the flaw to death but you correct it. Isn't that part of the fun? I have seen you build parts that were wrong or just not in the kit you were building! Did you rant and rave about it? No, you stated it and got to work. I like that mindset. I'm not saying anyone is wrong or right to have an opinion, be classy about it is all. I also noticed that a review like this is done on a bare white body. I get that, but I challenge the haters to paint one up, detail it out and put it together. Just once! Let's throw the mustang and cuda in there too. Did you know once the trim is all done and all the parts are on it puts it all together as a package and the results are good. You get the effects and help of shadows, depth, texture, reflection that you don't get from a bare white kit body. Go look at the 70 cuda thread under glass. If those models don't impress then I will eat my words. Sorry for the rant

I have noticed a trend with some of the people who cry hardest about this stuff. Using the find content button, I notice a ton of crying bit little or no WIP activity.... Perhaps they just can't find a kit perfect enough to build?

Great start. I want to lean that rusty technique some day

Basic engine is painted and assembled. Still fiddling with a couple custom touches on it. Should be pic worthy in a few days as well
