  1. Very nice work
  2. What do you hate about it? I found it all fit together well and helped with mock ups so I didn't have to handle the body much. I liked that with the cuda and the mustang lx for that matter. On the mustang in particular it allows easy swapping into the mpc bodies too. Thumbs up in my book
  3. This is my cammer in my 57 ford. It's a mix of jo Han, revell and amt parts It's in here. Tight fit in there too. If any of you have never heard one of these run, it's a beautiful sound. 6 feet of chain spinning around in there is glorious
  4. Pulley, cold air intake , throttle body, tune and long tube headers. I already got the axle back exhaust and drag radials that puts this thing to right around 750 at the wheels. The challenger is going to be very hard to modify in this way. The supercharger they use is the same as on the amg Benz and it's costly to pulley not to mention dodge has locked up the electronics pretty hard. It will be fun for me soon as one of my buddies has a hellcat order in at the dealer but it has not been picked by dodge yet. They said it may end up being a 2016 I am hoping to do this work over winter, but a 2.8 whipple 4.6 dohc build for my. 97 cobra might cut into that time and cash lol
  5. What's really nice is with my car and about 3 grand it's a legit ac on 10 oh car...
  6. It will be a drivers race for sure. The auto will be tricky to beat with a manual. It has been asked why a Shelby was not invited to play with these too. It will happen I'm sure. I know mine has been bottom 11's on stock goodyears so we will see
  7. Yes but the hello kitty at 44xx lbs vs the shelby at 38xx. The performance numbers for the Shelby are better. Even according to motortrend. The camaros are not even close to these two big boys on the straights. The camaros DO handle a bit better though
  8. The 13/14 gt500 tops ALL of those performance numbers btw...
  9. 82 Gt's only came in black, silver and burgandy
  10. Lt1.
  11. Good years are correct for the magnums. Ford did use some firestone wide ovals but not until sometime in 71 and I think it was an availability thing. On some models both are correct depending which plant they were built at but generally ford muscle wore Goodyear polyglas tires
  12. That's nice!
  13. Thanks guys. Tyrone, the paint is dupli color touch up paint in a spray can
  14. There you go Harry ! I even disagree with body stripes under clear! For instance, my twister mach 1 the stripes were not under clear on the real one. I trim my decals to the edge and apply. Always. No matter what car
  15. ^^^^ but emblems are not cleared over on real subjects! I prefer all that work after clear as the are not supposed to look like part of the body unit. Any judges care to chime in? I'm too set in my ways to change my methods but I'm hopeful this will help new builders. I'm not grouchy about it but it is a pet peeve... Oh I changed the title too as it's not a question lol
  16. So, can I share my lx here?
  17. I have never understood this. I see a few guys doing it but I never have. I like the crisp line foil leaves on trim work. Looks realistic when the line is left. Do you see real cars with chrome covered with clear? No! Does it cause handling problems if you don't do it? No! In all my years, and I have foiled models decades old that have never been an issue. Why am I ranting? I dunno, guys will complain about the accuracy of a kit but will create their own inaccuracy by doing this! Sweet double standard...
  18. Thanks guys. Jim, I saw that project you did and love it! Should have some updates today. Got wrangled into helping a buddy shingle today : (. Paying me with steak and beer so.... Lol. I got the front end set up and got the stance I was looking for. I went stock k member but modified it quite a bit. I like the look of the kit tubular piece but it's fiddly and to get the stance I wanted required a ton of work with a sacrifice in strength. Also from my 1:1 experience with tubular k members on a street car they are not so fun. Noisy, unstable on bad streets and just generally scary. Maybe the new ones are better but I'm not sold on them as my cars are 90/10 split between street and drag strip. Oh , driving on skinnys up front is a whole new game in itself. Lol
  19. I only have one question headers or stock manifolds? I mocked it up and headers will clear but you have to cut the exhaust. I will prep both and send. IMHO the headers would be needed for this beast
  20. I know, right? Lol. It's because we are that great of builders...... Lol
  21. I have lots of stuff. What do you need?
  22. Engine is painted and I'm working on some details to put it over the top. Several failed attempts but I think I got it. It's an aluminum headed 514 going in here btw
  23. Great question, I used the wheel backs from the hurst olds convertible kit. Super glued them to the steelies from the 68 charger which gave the perfect width for the amt hurst olds tires. Then I trimmed the plastic from the wheel back stub to get the right width. I had to drill the pin holes in the rear axles deeper. It was a bit of messing around and I will be honest, I'm not sold on these pin mount wheels. Lol
  24. Here's mine. No console, steelies. Low option car just as I like them
