  1. Not the end of the world. Did a nice job on it
  2. Wow! Bright. It's a big block, why is the distributor at the back?
  3. Maybe if you had built one and saw the body in paint and finished you would change your mind. I know of at least 4 built up on here recently that I thought turned out very nice.
  4. Oh that's gonna be nice
  5. But what color?? I have abandoned orange and am thinking blue with a white top and hockey stripes. Not what you would think this type of car to be... Which is the point....
  6. Sweet. Is the console not interior color ?
  7. How can I do one?? I would love that job
  8. The thing is there are well known authorities of these subjects out there. Mopar muscle= Govier, Ford muscle = Perkins and Gm has Macneish. There are others but these men invented rivet counting! They know the subject they have forgotten more than most of us will ever learn lol. Why are the companies not using them? They pay foose fees for models that don't even sit the way he intended! These guys time would be money better spent. I would also like to point this out. Some of you are hyper critical on these kits and accuracy. How many OWN any collector cars ? That is my other hobby. Now, reason I ask is this. I built a first issue torino cobra for a friend who owns one. I knew the quarter panels were not quite right but I didn't fix them. Guess what? He never even noticed that! He looked at that car for a solid hour when he got it. Even put it on the roof of his real one!! What I'm getting at is that some of you cry that the sky is falling and real owners of these cars don't see the things you guys nit pick about. Buy them, build them and enjoy them. If the little things are too much to take then I suggest you try and restore a real car to a high level. Then you will really see what sweating the details is about. I'm sorry for the rant but it upsets me when I come in here to look at all the exciting new things that every time it turns into a gong show over things that are for the most part easy fixes! Sure they maybe could have done a little better but I'm not going to lose sleep and refuse to buy it like some of you. It's a great time to be in the hobby. Remember that!
  9. Thanks everyone. Working on the cage tonight and hopefully some pictures soon
  10. Also makes it reeeeaallly easy for them to bang out the RS parts on a sprue for version 2. That just goes to show that if they don't have people tracking down 100% correct stock cars to document for kits that things happen so it's not all revells fault
  11. It is in the Henry ford movie though : )
  12. Thank you very much. I actually base all my builds on stance first and build around that. I never compromise. If it needs major work to get there there I make it happen but also get it there with a focus on the aspect of being realistic that it would work in 1:1
  13. I dunno, toylike depends on the effort. This is the original release of the. 69 bee and with a little effort it does not look toylike or this cuda I did. I sanded the back and opened it up. Otherwise grille is stock
  14. Correct. First re issue
  15. That turned out nice
  16. That's where I am at too Tim. I really would like to see a cyclone. I have done every conceivable version of this car swapping parts around. Shaker GT's. Base models etc. even a pro touring and a drag car. A twister special I have done which you can see in pics with my twister mach 1. Now I need a ranchero as 4 twister rancheros were built but none have been found
  17. Excellent review Tim. I have built probably ten of these and still have 6 cobras and 6 GTs. I would like to have seen a grille and laser stripe option to do a 71.
  18. That is nice. Ditch the scoop and go hillborn injection on the hemi....
  19. Paint looks good! Where is the rest of the build? Lol. I know it's a camaro but you don't have to be so ashamed... : )
  20. Thanks a lot you guys, Harry I thought of you when I didn't install the outside mirror. Lol. Where I live, as long as you have one mirror inside or outside it's all good. The inside one is in there
  21. I guess now it's a late 91 car with this color and the black trim. Door handles will be done later. Outside pics tmo but I think it's shaping up nice
  22. Well, I have an update. Likely the toughest and scariest part of the build was doing this to freshly polished calypso green
  23. Power?
  24. Might look ok if you got the back down a lot and the front down more. Hard to beat the looks of a stock road runner though
