"Track Rat" Fox body build - Finished!
freakshow12 replied to exesivefire's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Yup. I have seen some h/c/i ls motors in foxes and they move out wayyyyy better than the same engine in a crapmaro. -
I will photograph it when I get home
-
Wow. It's really coming along now
-
I will put a couple pics up of what I feel are issues. I didn't know it was as uncommon as it is. I got it when I bought a whole collection a couple yrs ago
-
I agree with that but it's my understanding the new kit is just a snap kit with no more detail than the 72. Is that correct?
-
It's a snap kit and I don't think it would have anything I would need for a detailed build of the 72. Different body styles

1969 Outlaw Camaro...updates (10/21/14)

Just plain awesome Tyrone! -
I dunno, I regularly use dupli color filler primer on the raw plastic. Then dupli color sealer then whatever paint I want. No issues

Thanks guys. It should be a sweet combo with the gt500 engine and 6 speed with a few speed parts. The tires will be toned down a little when I get that far. The soft resin they are cast in really catches the light. -
Hey guys. I have a mint 72 Torino kit that I don't know what to do with. Anyone make the laser stripes for it? What about a little nicer back bumper? Thinking I may just do a nice gran torino movie curb side with it. Or trade it away

All of my cars are quite low. I am always having to creep up driveways and speed bumps at wierd angles.
-
That is just a great color combo. I must ask as well what the interior color is

Mercury Capri SVT (A Mustang of a different sort)
freakshow12 replied to Abell82's topic in WIP: Model Cars
The one on the outside is enough. I have always found coil on plug on pushrods engines to be ugly looking -

mount electric fan. Mount it on the outside of the rad then you don't need an engine driven fan. For inhibition you have 2 options. Make an angled distributor shaft to clear the blower snout OR make a coil pack for each bank like the 96-98 cobras and gt's had and boom. Problems solved -
I would agree with your statements about the rear quarter window area. It's very subtle but there. The crease holds up pretty nice to paint but I have fiddled with the several I have built
-
Sweet. Looks like something you would find in the classifieds. For sale. Dragster roller.. : )
-
It's a pretty decent kit. Stance could be tweaked a bit but overall it looks like it fell together very nicely for you. What pearl white did you use?

Also did a cage. You guys that do that all the time are AMAZING!! I've got tons to learn. I started with .62 rod but that went poorly. I switched to .62 solid solder I had here and it bends so nice. I pinned it all and all straight pieces are styrene rod -

Got a bit more done. Here are outside pics of what stance will be -
Tamiya ts-56 This is my 70 twister special mach 1 shot in the above paint. It's a good match for what you need.

What changes?
-
Very nice. I love those cars

Yes it is and what would you like to know?
