Beautiful looking paint color and the stripes contrast nicely. The engine looks great. Like the chassis and the stance.
-
Great body modifications and the paint looks nice and smooth. Nice cover on the wheel tubs.
-
Really like how this build is looking. All the little details make it look all that much better.
-
Great looking paint and body trim. Once you got the final color and clear on the body this really became an eye catcher.
-
Great looking interior and the engine and engine compartment are very realistic looking.

Just an ordinary 1950s parking lot?

Amazing what someone can do with photoshop. -
What did you see on the road today?

I have only seen these cars on YouTube in Rally Races, but I think they look great and love the sound when they're "at full song". -
Hi Trevor, LOL, hope that's cheeky good. The car I was trying to replicate from memory had larger rear tires than the front. I may have taken some liberty with the slicks, but that's the way I would have done it.

Hi Mike. For the window tint I used Tamiya Clear Blue rattle can. I'm still trying to figure that all out and not get it as heavy as this. You will use at least a quarter to a third of a sheet of Bare Metal Foil on this much like any '50's and '60's car, and I had shaved the hood, trunk and front fenders.

Hi Elliot. AMT offered two versions of the Starliner. The first was as a completely stock but with a few engine options. This one is the second issue listed as a custom version. This one offers a set of factory style cast iron headers with full length side pipe exhaust.

This one offers a set of factory style cast iron headers with full length side pipe exhaust. Round 2 has since reissued this kit a few times. Other than the small usual contact between the glass and interior contact during assembly it really is a great kit and I'm going to build another soon.

Hi Mike, I always enjoy watching your WIP. Would love to see your Starliner. They offered some great colors and interiors on these cars.

Thankyou David, I'm glad you liked it. The seat inserts were an experiment for me, and I'm pleased at how it turned out. As I mentioned in the WIP, Ford did a really great job on their interiors on the Starliner models and while I couldn't capture all of the colors that Ford had used, I think the gold gives just enough without going overboard.

Hi David, glad you like the build. The tinted windows are something new for me after seeing others here do them. I'm using rattle cans, and you lose a little control that way and tend to get a finish more like you had gone to a tint shop and had them put film on your windows.

I have had good luck with Tamiya TS-14 Black in rattle cans. I'll also recommend their Clear Gloss as a topcoat.

1960 Ford Ranchero

Your custom touches to the grill, taillights, and the hood really enhances the look of this. Like the owner's rattle can paint job and exhaust stack through the bed floor. -

The paint finish and color look great and the body trim is all cleanly done. The attention to all the under-hood wiring and detailing along with the hitch wiring details as Tom mentioned is what really catches my eyes. -
Just got my July Issue of Hemmings Classic Cars and their main theme this month has to do with cars and trucks sold in Canada. They have one article that covers some of the history and a few articles on specific models one of which is the 1956 Crown Victoria from Ford of Canada that is also the cover car.

Great looking paint finish and cleanly detailed body trim.

Like the early Kustom Style appearance with the Duval windshield.
-
Great looking build. Like the retro blower thru the hood.

Father and son project looks great. I'm impressed that you got the convertible top to fit correctly.
