  1. I suggest a thorough inspection top to bottom no matter what vehicle you are looking at. Ace offers some good advice concerning the Lincoln but something that I noticed was your mention of the cracked vinyl roof. This may have been caused by many years of sitting out in the hot sun and the vinyl material dries out and cracks. This can and will allow moisture to inter the padding under the vinyl roof cover and this will lead to rust on the metal roof underneath. Look for any lumps in the vinyl roof and especially around the outer edges of the top. This would apply for the Nova as well. I would take a long hard look at the Nova even though I myself would be predisposed to purchase it if you can get a better price. Any cost of repairs on the Nova may be less expensive on parts and also being a more basic car also easier to work on unless you're more experienced than the average person. Driven in a normal manor the 6 cyl. engine should give you far better gas milage providing the engine has been properly cared for, and this would apply to the Lincoln as well. Another cost of ownership to consider is your insurance cost and only your agent can help you there. Good luck to you no matter which one you pick.
  2. Like the distressed finish, lots of creativity.
  3. Great looking paint color and finish. The blown engine and big slicks would really get you noticed.
  4. Great looking body finish and the matching wheels and engine colors.
  5. Great looking 1 ton dully, this would be a great work truck. Like the paint color and finish.
  6. Beautiful paint and color. Like the clean bumper less look. The wheel and tire setup look perfect for this.
  7. Great looking paint color and finish. Like the wheel and tire combo.
  8. Great looking paint finish. Like the detailed Flathead engine.
  9. Remarkable looking finish on the body. Great detailing on the engine and exposed suspension. Like the stance along with the wheels and tires.
  10. Great looking paint work and the road runner on the rear quarters fits right in. Very cleanly built and like the stance.
  11. Beautiful looking paint finish and Bandit trim. Like the detailing on the interior and engine.
  12. Both builds are beautifully done. Fallowed your WIP and like how you melded the Ford and Plymouth bodies. Paint colors and finishes along with the wood trim look great. Like the interiors and the way you detailed the drive trains.
  13. The flame colors look great.
  14. Looks like an old Hudson from behind.
  15. Your reference picture of the green and white Del Rio is how Ford did the two-tone paint from the factory for the front. An attractive color combination. The rear paint treatment is where some controversy may come in. The only thing that really matters is what you want it to look like. I have seen it done two ways as an OEM paint treatment. #1 would be like was done on the passenger cars. The break would be from the bottom center of the tail lamps to the bumper leaving the tail gate area the same color as the middle color on the body sides. #2 May have been a factory option since I recall seeing it done also in this fashion when these were new. Ford had a small diameter chrome trim that started where the rear window opened and curving along the top of the taillight fin and ending in the center of the top of the fin. This was to break the side colors from the roof and lower body leaving the tailgate the same color as the roof and lower body. Strickly as a visual example and not trying to tell you how to do your color treatment in any way, this picture is just an example to see if it would even be a consideration.
  16. This has seemed to work for us.
  17. Like the understated color and great paint finish. Clean grill and bumpers. Nice interior upgrades. The engine looks like "Pop" could get to the beach on a hurry if the Surfs Up.
  18. Like seeing a good old fashion work truck. Realistic looking finishes and the long bed and bigger wheels.
  19. Like the color scheme and the stance.
  20. Hi Jeff, thanks for looking in. I have been lucky using the Tamiya rattle can white on several builds. In fact, my 1:1 cars and trucks have more often than not been white, I just think they look cleaner, and the PD doesn't seem to notice them as much.
  21. Beautiful looking paint finish and chrome details. I think this is what used to be called a "Street Freak". From what you can see of the suspension it looks as if that is done to the same standard as the paint work.
  22. Great looking paint color and finish. I actually saw one this same color on the highway a couple of days ago. Hard to miss it. Cleanly detailed body trim and engine.

Great looking dark blue color and finish. Started on this same model this week. What did you use for the grill? I had robbed the factory 2x4 setup for another project and flopping around for a replacement, what did you use?
  24. Beautiful looking color and finish. Not normally a fan of vinyl roofs on 1:1's or scale models, but when done like this I think it looks great. Great engine detailing and stance.
