  1. I've never spotted that body style, either...but I like it!
  2. Yep. That's the stuff.
  3. My only real gripe with it is how sellers charge for shipping. I get that there are fees which need to be covered, and that it can be a pain to sell, but when the shipping is double or even triple actual cost in an effort to make up that lost profit...forget it. Then again, if there were a top 100 list of the worlds worst conformists to the consumerism mentality, I'd very likely be on it...so my opinion may not be much to go by.
  4. Looks like a pretty good start. I've got it's topless sibling started, sitting here on the "work on me" shelf.
  5. Cool. I always thought this would be a natural project. Nice job.
  6. The decals do leave a lot to be desired. Painting them is not difficult at all, if you have an airbrush...but not everyone does. I'm sure the Modelhaus offerings will be very nice.
  7. Oh yeah. Got me with this one!
  8. I've never been much of a bandwagon type either, G...but this is just one of those cars. Glad to see another on the bench, especially since it's a different theme.
  9. Yep. Lookin' good. Am I the only one who does this? Whenever I see an unsuspecting scale figure caught in a candid position in the background of a progress shot, the little gremlin that lives in my head yells "I'VE FALLEN! AND I CAN'T GET UP!"
  10. Yeah, this is another "must-have" for me. I don't care what engine or suspension it has. I can't wait to rebuild the wood parts out of real wood.
  11. Doesn't bother me, either...I painted mine as well. It's likely that even if they had been tampo'd, I'd have stripped them and repainted. As far as the false advertising thing goes, mistakes happen. They probably intended to do them that way then found it problematic from a production standpoint, and the change was missed in the art department. I'm sure it'll be corrected on the next run.
  12. Wow. I wouldn't have expected such a tone shift from that Nassau Blue. I'll have to keep that one in mind, because it looks great...especially with the contrasting tones you have going on in the cabin. Good eye there. And hey, where'd your mini anvil come from? I've got one as well, but it doesn't look nearly that spiffy.
  13. Hm. I think I could dig this one.
  14. It's not? The H.A.M.B.. Just sayin'.
  15. You are one brave soul... I'll be watching this one!
  16. Yum!
  17. It's a great kit. I need at least 2 more to cover the variations I'd like to do, but it's not in the budget so it'll have to wait a bit. The show was decent. We got there a little late and ended up leaving way too early. I was having a pretty rough time after the drive and was stuck in the chair the whole time, but it was worth it if for no other reason than to see a few old model buds again. One thing about the dash decals - the speedo is too large for the cavity. I had to trim into the image by a good bit on the bottom, including cutting into the lower arch. It'd have been better if I were able to split the difference top and bottom, but the upper arch was dead on. It is what it is...still looks pretty good, I s'pose.
  18. I can see why you didn't do much to it! We see too few of these non-steroid Cobras.
  19. That came out great, Jason. Nice work.
  20. Very cool. Has that real hot rod juju.
  21. Thanks, Bryan. Just need to recreate the armrests now and the cabin will be finished.
  22. Seriously impressed.
