Been a while since I've done one up in this style, but I sure do dig 'em. Pardon the pic quality...these are pretty old. I swapped out the Daytons for Astros a few years back.

No need to buy fishing line...although no doubt that is another solution. We all have all the clear red fuel line we'd ever need right in our stashes. No need to even get out the airbrush...just thin out some acr white and brush them out. Looks better than any of the other options anyway. Bill, thanks for checking out the speed parts options. I didn't realize the '40 sedan had an Olds mill. Now I have to track those parts down. And you're right on the fastback insight, although no doubt we'll see several conversion projects and a resin body in no time at all. Will/way and all that. So far, I couldn't be much more pleased with this kit. I'm making my first build a very mild custom to celebrate the quality of the kit as it comes. I'm betting my second one is a hardtop conversion. Thanks, guys. Yep, Mark! lol. I'm not struggling with it too much this time. Maybe I'm getting lazy in my old age. After fully paint-detailing the grill, I just wasn't happy with the open areas just being black. So last night I went into masochist mode and opened it up. I've already trashed one of these grills years ago by getting it too warm in the process and ending up with a farmer grill (wavy and and all whacked lookin' heheh), so this time I was extra careful and really took my time. It paid off. Now I just need to keep my fingers crossed that I get some good results with the alclad. I've never developed a real good feel for the stuff, so wish me luck.

I did the same thing a couple months ago, Bryan. They're from the '53 Ford flip nose. And yep, if you're lucky enough to get a set with decent chrome, they look da mned sharp with a little work. Who'da'thunkit, eh?

I've been getting the itch to build one of these from my stash. Oddly enough, a search of the forum didn't show me very many at all. So let's see 'em...replica stock, box stock, street machine, custom, drag or whatever else ya came up with. Such a nice kit deserves some dedicated airtime.

Whatever the case with any other sites, emodelcars is and has for some time now been in full fail mode...and it's not really all that difficult to see why. Hundreds, even thousands of other special interest sites offer classifieds sections. There is no reason that MCM could not also offer this, other than the will to do so. It's a little ridiculous to have to use the Trading and Wanted sections to arrange "trades" (sure it's a trade! it's trading plastic for paper ). Gregg and Harry...if the reasons you listed are why there is no classified section in this place, you're wayyyyyyy over-complicating it. But, if that's the case, that's your choice. We can play along and keep the $ signs in the pm's.
