  1. According to my research, it was issued in 1998. Updated the initial post.
  2. I hope this generation has other interior colours available besides black.
  3. I haven't looked through my copy of the kit in a while (and I'm at work at the moment) but I seem to recall it being a rather old, crude kit. The chassis pan is typical promo-style. I can take pictures when I get home.
  4. Well lookit that! I'll need to find that auction to figure out when that kit was issued.
  5. Most of the MPC boxes, yes, but the snap Blazer kit at least is the same size as AMT boxes.
  6. I think they are required by law (at least in the US) to show on the box what comes in the box. Something about "truth in advertising" or something like that, IIRC.
  7. Doesn't that defeat the purpose of 'Cyber' Monday?
  8. Here's another in AMT's race car/trailer/tow vehicle series:
  9. I'm so trying this. I've been trying to "flock" (using embossing powder) for the first time and not having much luck.
  10. I think that the threads that are currently in the reviews section should stay as is, however a new policy moving forward could be adopted. When it comes to new releases, separate threads for speculation and reviews should be present. Once the kit is released, a new thread strictly for the review should be started (say, for the Moebius F-100). These new release review threads would ideally present enough material for presentation in the magazine itself (pictures of box contents) and discussion on the kit. Retro reviews would ideally also contain pictures of box contents. History of a line of kits should contain pictures of box contents, but from experience I can tell you that unless you actually own all the kits it is difficult to do. Just my 5ยข (according to the Government of Canada's suggested rounding guidelines)
  11.   Eastern Canadian, too. At least, that's how I've always pronounced it.
  12. Can you paste items by using Ctrl+V on your keyboard?
  13. The main problem with using the AMT 1960 C10 chassis on anything later than 1964 or so is that it has a torsion bar front suspension. The trucks switched to coil springs later on.
  14. Looks like a school bus with a 41 Chevy pickup nose. I see this bus body on eBay from time to time, usually just the body no truck nose to go with it.
  15. How did you go about making the medium duty front clip? And what did you use for a grille? Hard to see in your pictures.
  16. I would LOVE To have a copy of that grille.
  17. A drop-in for the leaf spring version would be the MPC '78 C10 kit; the original issue, the only one to have a 2WD suspension. Unless, of course, you want to make a 4WD version in which case any of the squarebody frames will work.
  18. Add in some full-float rears and 4x4 front hubs and we're good to go!
  19. I suppose that still holds true for the blingiest of SUVs; everyone wants an Escalade or a Navigator, no manufacturer is needed to know what vehicle you're talking about.
  20. I once read that luxury automakers prefer using seemingly random alphanumeric names for their vehicles so that people will remember the brand more than the car. Which, you have to admit, works pretty good. Too many acronyms and numbers to remember and you just start calling all them by the brand.
  21. I stopped watching Family Guy when they did the Christmas special where Stewie and Brian were covering for Santa Claus. For some reason, even after all the BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH they'd done throughout the years, that episode just turned me off.
  22. I picked up a set of these from a tank thingy that was molded in blue, labelled 'POLICE' and had white rims.
  23. Rounded Line is what GM called them. Mostly due to the window glass and openings, upper doors, dash, etc. Compared to what came after, they are certainly worthy of the more common appellation of squarebody nowadays.
  24. I once sent him a request to produce some decals for some local companies. At the time the images weren't the greatest and he didn't have much luck producing good digital files from which to print the decals. But, he printed off a set of decent decals from the images and sent them to me free of charge! I may try to get the decals done again as the available images are much better now.
  25. The original pieces have arrived at SELtd, on the bench for casting in December!
