  1. This is a model of an El Camino I owned many years ago . It had a 283 / 4 speed and was painted Roman Red with the Impala trim . The model is a Revell '60 Impala with the roof and bed from the AMT '59 El Camino grafted on . I had to lengthen the bed about 1/4 " to line everything up , and modified the tailgate and rear bumper . I used the Revell chassis and modified it to show the bed floor and a new gas tank . The headers and exhaust were made from aluminum rod . The engine and tranny are from the revel '63 Impala . The tires are from Fireball Modelworks and I don't know where the Cragars came from , they were in my parts box . I tried to replicate everything just like it was , right down to the 1987 license plate !

  15. I think you're looking for photo - etched blades that fit in an xacto handle . These are from Model Car Garage for about 10 bucks .
  16. Rob , I measured the Line-o-tape I have and it's between .003 " and .004" thick . If you mean to use it as a pinstripe to separate two colors it works great ! It's flexible enough for curves but not too tight , similar to other tapes I've used . The one time I used it ( my '72 Ranchero ) , it stuck just fine and is still staying put . Maybe wrapping around a radiator hose is too small a diameter for it .
  17. I spent the last couple of evenings doing the BMF . This is my fifth build using it and I'm getting the hang of it finally ! There is one piece I need to redo again but otherwise it's done . Now it's time to start putting everything together !
  18. That's got to be the prettiest Cox Cheetah ever ! Great job Chris . Somebody should do this in resin ( besides HRM ) .
