  1. Great looking four door ! Nice work .
  2. Your finished builds are always so impressive , it's nice to see a W.I.P. of one . It's as beautiful going together as it is when it's finished ! Thanks for sharing and PLEASE do more of these .
  3. I agree 100% with Art , if you look closely you can see the clear film . I rarely use decals but learned my lesson long ago , now if I have any doubts about their condition I always coat them with Testors Decal Bonder or any clear lacquer . There's no sense in taking a chance even with supposedly new decals .
  4. Holy Cow ! ! No wonder it took 20 + years to finish it ! I enjoy hand painting details but could only do something like this for about 30 minutes before going nuts . Excellent work and it sure looks like it was worth it !
  5. SMBC sells the decals for the '72 Ranchero , I got a set from them .
  6. A quick internet search turned up more than a dozen versions of a "New" Mustang , obviously nobody knows except for Ford and they aren't talking ! I'm not a big Mustang fan but I kinda like this version .
  7. Then somebody pulled an "April Fools" on Stacey David ! Does he really believe that's the new Mustang ?
  8. Very Nice ! You have every right to be proud of that one , it looks great ! And my favorite year Charger too , I love the grille and the taillights . Nice photography too .
  9. Now that's a beautiful Outlaw ! Really clean and great detailing ! Nicest one I've seen in a long time .
  10. That's a cool idea building the old and new versions . They all look excellent ! Personally I like the original versions better . Tip - You need to put your full name either above your location or in your signature line ( forum rules ) .
  11. Yep , two separate course . The outer two lanes ran the oval and the two inside lanes ran thru the infield and turns three and four . This was back before the G-Force cars and such , I raced plain old AFX cars and it was a blast on the banking ! They were plenty fast with 20 volts on each car and they spun easily if you weren't careful . I've got some pics of my cars , I'll dig them out and post some .
  12. That's incredible ! ! Super job of rebuilding a so-so looking toy !
  13. Copy that . Chris has excellent goodies and excellent service !
  14. There they are ! Great group photo of all your 58's and I didn't even notice the towel ! Excellent looking collection Rich .
  15. I agree that it would be nice in 1/25th scale but I don't know where I'd put it . It would measure 43" wide x 65" long !
  16. I built this back around '84 or '85 in a spare room in the mobile home I lived in . Every body thought I was crazy and I guess I was , but it sure was fun and my 9 yr old son loved it ! It was pretty tight in a 14 x 12 room so the whole thing slid back and forth on kind of a rail system made from 2 x 4's . It's four lanes with four 20 volt transformers supplying the power . And yes , there is a train too !
  17. Another beautiful '58 Rich ! Only 4 hours to do all that BMF ? It would take me four days , and my gold never looks like yours either . Very nice .
  18. Those are beautiful cars and so is your rebuild ! Nice job !
  19. Very cool ! ! Your doing an excellent job with the conversion . This was next on my list after I finish my El Camino but I think I'll wait till you finish yours so I can pick up any tips !
  20. Very nice ! Sure brings back memories of building the original , but my decals weren't any where as nice as yours !
  21. That's true , but they did an awful job ! Below is an original Ace which was manufactured from 1951 to 1962 .
  22. Sure do , the Brubaker Van or Box was on a VW chassis . It was very difficult to get in and out of with such a low roof and only one door , a sliding door on the passenger side . Everett - Morrison got the molds for this along with several other vehicles when they bought out Allied Industries in 1983 . We never built any and eventually sold the molds back to Dean Morrison .
  23. Yep , very nice John . We need more photos !
