  1. I don't print my own decals very often , usually some license plates or a few logos . I use Testors paper only because my LHS has it and for about $6 I got 3 sheets of clear and 3 sheets of white paper . I don't see any problems with it , but if I were doing more involved decals ( like for a race car ) I might look at some better quality paper . I also do the "cut and tape" trick for my decals , it saves me from wasting a lot of paper . As for decals printing transparent , I usually try to use the white paper and use MS Paint to match the background to the color it will be applied to .

  5. I've been busy with other stuff for a while but managed to get in a couple of hours Sunday night . I pieced together the exhaust with turbo mufflers made out of 1/8" thick styrene , pipes from 3/32 aluminum rod , and the tips will be polished aluminum tubing . I pinned the parts for easier alignment . Thanks for looking .

  8. Agreed . I know Chuck too and this is not his 1/8 build . Photos of his at KKIM are on the LARGE SCALE MODELS forum . Once again , a very nice build Blair . It obviously is good enough to fool some people !

  11. The Mk8D is one of the best looking Can Am cars ever and you've done a great job ! I don't see anything wrong with it at all . I'd like to build one myself some day . The color looks like a perfect match , what paint did you use ?

  19. Roy , I've never seen bricks that big in my life , they must be 12 feet long ! And you've got a really gorgeous looking Shelby too , you should build a model of it !
