  1. Greg , I partially agree with you but I don't think the model companies would do this for reasons already stated . But with what's available in resin and some kit bashing we can build it ourselves . No , it won't be 100 % correct under the skin but I don't think any build like this is . I'm in the middle of such a build now , and while I'd like to be as accurate as possible , I know it's not . I agree with those you want a "kit" to be accurate but in this case : " If it walks like a duck . . ."
  2. I have about 3 dozen of the M2 machines . I saw them on sale one day in W-M and bought one of each , then I went on line and bought some more ! I may have overdone it but they are very nice little diecast .
  3. Yes , it works great ! It does need a clear coat .
  4. I like what you are doing here Shawn , looks really cool ! Idea - If you prime the body with white on top and black on the bottom you can do a two tone paint job in one shot !
  5. I saw that in the mail but didn't even open it . . . better go check the trash !
  6. Great job ! All those decals and the details look great , and the engine is where it belongs !
  7. That's Awesome ! ! I never gave that kit much thought . . . until now ! Why is this your last attempt ?
  8. Thanks James . They look good as long as you don't get too close ! People want crazy prices for those SMP El Caminos . I kept looking for a long time , but they were either real glue and paint bombs or they were priced twice what a resin body goes for ! I have a Bandit Resins '60 and it is really a nice piece with an open hood and F and R bumpers , it just wasn't what I wanted to build .
  9. I managed to get the chassis painted over the weekend . I'm thinking about adding a little weathering and dirt to it . What do you think ?
  10. The RS / SS is a real beauty ! Love the wheels and tires , and Butternut yellow is the perfect color .
  11. It looks really nice ! Great detailing in the interior . How did you paint the trim around the windows so nice ?
  12. Don't know what it is but I like it !
  13. Really nice paint and trim work . The little details really make this one great ! I like it alot !
  14. Looks really good to me too ! I like the gold wheels . Polar Lights has had problems with decals in the past , you are not alone !
  15. That looks great ! You did a great job , it's so clean and nicely detailed . I've done a couple like this and they are lots of fun !
  16. Beautiful build ! That was a ton of work , I know , I have one too ! You did one heck of a job !
  17. That's mighty Nice ! ! Never seen that kit before .
  18. and the Third for a diorama of Freddy flame out kit I was thinking of using one of these for a dio also ! How about a peek inside , maybe with a ruler ?
  19. That's very cool ! I like the open body idea . . . it looks like it really belongs on a beach somewhere !
  20. It looks just fine . . . so does the BMF ! I remember my aunt driving an old Plymouth like this one in the late 50's .
