  1. I like the way it's turning out too ! Very nice . Scale Dreams has great service , you should have the BMF this weekend !
  2. Around that time automobiles were still a luxury item and not a necessity . Not a lot of people could afford them . In 1936 we were still recovering from the depression .
  3. Could get VERY interesting ! Where did you get the rear tires ?

Thank you Cesar . It's being reissued . I think the release date is March 2013 .
  5. Looks perfect , as in period correct ! Great build !
  6. The door handle might be useable . Very realistic looking !
  7. I also use MEK . I bought a quart at Ace Hardware for about 10 bucks more than a year ago . Bill , does DCM work better or about the same ? I've never tried Tenax .
  8. It looks really good in styrene so it should look fantastic when it's painted ! Good tip about the headlights , best one I've seen yet .
  9. That's pretty cool . I think I saw an ice cream truck going the other way !

Thanks again ! This is my very first curbside build . Felt kinda weird not detailing the engine and chassis .
  13. Very nice ! I like it alot , the stripe too !
  14. That is a beautiful Cougar ! Love the color . I also like the California Special , my dad almost bought one back when they were new ! And a nice job converting the Lincoln back to stock !
  15. They are excellent kits and the bodies don't need any thinning at all , they look almost like a polystyrene body ! They are also more flexible than most resin bodies which means no broken parts . I bought their '72 Ranchero and the only part that need some work to fit properly was the front grille / bumper but it looked great when I was done . Also the windshield / windows are typical of vacuum formed windows and need some careful trimming to fit in the body . I'd say go ahead and buy one , they are worth the extra money .
  16. That's awesome ! I enjoyed watching this build and it turned out beautiful ! And your photography ain't bad either !

  22. I pulled this from my stash a month or so ago and started cutting it up . I chopped the roof , slid it forward 1/4 inch , and changed the angle of the tailgate . Then I cut the grooves in the roof to mimic the original Nomads . Next I tucked that big ol' bumper in close to the body , opened the grille , and added headlights from the Revell 2009 Challenger . Side mirrors were taken from the Revell '86 Monte Carlo . After all that was done I lost interest and sat it aside for a few weeks . I was ready to pack it up when I decided to finish it and get it over with , so I glued the hood shut and made it a curbside ! The paint is Duplicolor Chili Pepper Red over base coats of flat black and bright silver , then cleared with Rustoleum Automotive Enamel . The wheels and tires are Pegasus . I can only post photos in a " reply " so they will be posted next . Thanks and I hope you like it !
  23. Does she have a sister ?
  24. Cool looking little Mustang ! I'd drive it every day no problem . Great job !
