  1. I've Got this '73 Vega promo that I'm going to build into a Vega GT . And this '55 Nash Metropolitan I built last year .
  2. Great looking build ! The kit itself is pretty impressive even with the few quirks that you've pointed out . I might give it a try !
  3. Has anyone ever noticed these numbers at the bottom of the main page ? It IS a lot of work and they do a GREAT job !
  4. Looks good to me Jason ! Nice job !
  5. I finally got some color on the El Camino this morning ! I'll let it sit over the weekend before spraying some clear and starting the BMF . Is it red enough for you ?
  6. I agree with Jon completely ! Nice Mopar collection too !
  7. Very sharp looking ! I love the color and the wheels !
  8. I think you are right Jonathan . I wouldn't say we are cheap , but most of our money is spent after the initial purchase of a kit . When you buy a kit of a F-18 Hornet everything is included to build a very highly detailed model except paint . They can easily cost $100 or more for a nice " off the shelf " kit !
  9. Thanks David ! They are a lot of fun and a great stress reliever after spending days and weeks on a regular build . Give it a try !
  10. Thanks again Ira ! Doesn't everybody Love the Bug ?
  11. Thanks Mike ! I'm at the point in the build where I usually screw things up , keeping my fingers crossed !
  12. Beautiful !
  13. I've been wanting to get a closer look at this kit for a while now . Thanks Jonathan , it looks great !
  14. Great looking buggy ! Great color and surfboard , it shows that you had fun with this !
  15. She looks great the way she is ! Very nice work on the roof rack , it looks factory . The "77 looks great too ! I had a '78 that I used as a parts runner at work and loved that wagon !
  16. Another thing to remember is that a lot of these vendors are small , sometimes a family business or a one man show . It can be difficult to keep it running on time , an illness or car trouble or even the weather can mess things up !
  17. Thank you James ! It's warm or HOT here most of the year so weather doesn't affect my build time much , just other things to take care of .
  18. Great looking paint and those whitewalls look perfect ! I've tried doing them like that without much luck , I must be doing something wrong . Nice to see another El Camino under way , we need more of them !
  19. That seems a bit unusual for Model Roundup , they always have great service ! You should contact Jack and ask why .
  20. I also remade the hood hinge , it was kind of big and ugly . I found some small diameter brass rod that fit into .062 tubing and made a new one . I'm also trying something a little different to dress them up a bit . Kind of crude but you get the idea , I can add springs after it's painted . What do you think ?
  21. It's been over a month and I'm finally back working on this El Camino ! Over the weekend I about finished the interior , paint and some BMF . I added a clutch pedal and made a shift lever and boot , and the steering wheel from Detail Masters . I'd prefer to use the stock wheel but this is a recreation of my own El Camino and that's what it had . I'm still going to add some floor mats , and I didn't forget the seat belts , it didn't have any ! It's taped together for the photos since it will be assembled inside the finished body to make sure everything
  22. Really , really nice !
  23. That's a new one for me too . . . it's gotta be an aftermarket item .
  24. Great looking models ! Just like the real deal .
