  1. I did see that episode last night and I did notice the model boxes in the background but I could not tell what they were.
  2. I do the drill out thing but use Krystal Klear to simulate the lens. Also you can find the correct diameter aluminum tubing and slice of a small piece, sand a bit and you have a nice bezel for your gauges.
  3. I have never thought to do that but I would suspect the clear would be the stumbling block. I would guess that lacquer would be a no-no. Maybe enamel or acrylic ? Best thing would be to to some testing.
  4. I can't really add to what has been said but welcome back to the modeling game. it's a whole new world my friend. Good luck with your project.
  5. Depending how big or the location I either used Testors bottle chrome silver or some BMF.
  6. Thats different. I like it.

  11. The competion coupe version was shown in one of the magazines in 2009. Does anyone know if and when it will be on the market ? Was it perhaps shelved ? I also see it listed on some on-line dealers but of coarse they all show out of stock.
  12. That is beautiful , How did you manage to hand paint the blue stripe ?
  13. That is one wild ride you built there. I like it !
  14. Nice little diorama.
  15. I have had some trouble with the marker looking purple at times but it is probably the best way.
  16. That is cool. Would be nice to see 2 side by side, one painted and one raw.
  17. Those look very detailed for being so small.
