  1. A nice little package from Japan was waiting for me when I returned from vacation. It's a Daytona body kit in 1/24 scale . I hope to shove some parts from a Revell Cobra under it and have a nice display piece without engine or interior.
  2. Good news, bad news I guess in this post. While up in Colorado for a family reunion this past week my daughters boyfriend did ask for my blessings to ask my daughter to marry him. I didn't give him any trouble because he seems like a nice young man with his head on straight. He was just notified a couple days prior that he was hired by the Secret Service. He will start training soon that will take about 5 months. I think some in Atlanta and some in Maryland. The not so good part ( my opinion ) is he will be working in Chicago probably for his first 5 years. The building is in the downtown loop. Now I have no real problem with Chicago and I was in fact born there and was in the area for my first 27 years. The not so good part is that when he moves there in March my daughter will also be going. What kind of shock is in store for a girl who has been in California her whole life ( 30 years almost ) with the last 7 in San Diego going to go through. Not sure she is going to be too happy there but there she will be. They hope to be able to move somewhere they prefer in 5 years. Not too happy not to have her just a 5 hours drive away but what can you do ?
  3. Today I was pleased to wake up in my own bed. Drove home from Colorado in a 15 hour road trip. I was up there for a few days for a family reunion. What a beautiful state. Such a difference from Arizona ( at least my area ). Had a great time but I am always happy to return home to my own bed.
  4. In N Out Culvers KFC Fatburger
  5. I don't know about Wayne but I hope to have a good trip !
  6. My BIL is/was also a Marine and reminds mt of that.
  7. I wish I had a WC 5 -6 miles away. I miss those 4 bite belly bombs. We can get the frozen ones but they are just not the same at all.
  8. Thanks for the ideas guys. Going for a family reunion but will have plenty of time. Only thing planned so far is a few hours in a 4 seat UTV with the wife, daughter and possible future son in law. I hear I may be having a talk with the young man and he will be asking for her hand. Old fashion perhaps but very respectful on his part. I hope to use this time to get to know him better. He was in the Marines and now is through some hurdles to try to get in the secret service. Sounds like he has a good head on his shoulders. I will happily welcome him to the family.
  9. Very nice so far.
  10. Packing today. Leaving tomorrow on a trip to Colorado. Hopefully it will be at least a little cooler. Have a cabin reserved in Estes Park. Never been, hope it is nice. Going to be there 5 days.
  11. Great looking Tiger.
  12. I think that people who abuse animals should have what they did to the animal done to them ! Harsh ? Perhaps but just the way I feel. Don't have an animal if you can't treat it right.
  13. Cool little car.
  14. One can't have too many projects eh Bill ? : ) This should be another cool project.
  15. Got this at Hobby Lobby yesterday. Slim pickings. Anyway, will build but not sure where this will end up. So far I only chopped the C cab roof about 1/4 of an inch. Will probably try to make it sit lower and then who knows ?
  16. Three more police killed today. I heard that makes 29 this year. I don't know how many have been hurt. What the heck is going on ? Sad, very sad.
  17. Looks good, nice work.
  18. Nice color. I think the trim rings would look good.
  19. As the old saying goes......... I would rather be on trial for killing a man than to have him be on trial for killing me. I have great respect for the police but as good as they may be they can not be everywhere.
  20. Man can not live by Cobra alone. : )
  21. Very nice Ed. Always look forward to your pics.
  22. Great looking spot.
  23. I used paypal for my transaction as well but as Jim pointed out there is a time limit. I believe 30 days no ?
  24. Communication is key in resolving a problem. My story is a bit different in that only 15 bucks is involved. I just hit the 5 month mark with this guy and sent another email asking where my tires are and when can I expect them. No response as of yet but in view of the fact that my first 4 emails garnered no response I guess I really don't expect one. I am at a loss as to why people operate this way.
