  1. I'll be there too. Money was tight the last 2 years so it's been a while since my last visit. I'm looking forward to it!
  2. A beautiful build of a beautiful car. Very nice!
  3. Great job Mark! As I stated in the build thread I'm a big A.J. fan. I remember watching the '64 Firecracker 400, as a Ford fan I souldn't have been cheering for A.J. to win, but I was!
  4. Very nice! The Revell kit is a great kit but I still love that old AMT tooling. You did it proud!
  5. Is that the car he won the "Firecracker 400" at Daytona in '64 with? I was always a big A.J. fan, the man could DRIVE! Great project!
  6. I used to shop there when I lived in Clawson, Mi. It's a great shop. I bought a lot of kits there and all of the 1320 Inc. Dragsters I have. They took some of the sting out of Bob closing Auto Know and Jinski's shop closing when he passed away.
  7. There was a rumor last year that someone was going to release a mid '50's Buick. I heard it over and over again but haven't seen it yet. I wonder if that could be what they're working on. I'd love a '55 but a '57 would be great too.
  8. O/C means, Open/Complete, box has been opened but all parts are there. S/I means sealed inside, box has been opened but bags of parts inside have not.
  9. 48 out of 48. The only one I had to think about was the hood ornaments.
  10. It sounds like the MPC Sox and Martin kit. The extra hole in the valve cover is for a breather.
  11. Happy Birthday George! I hope someone remembers to slide some plastic you're way today!
  12. Very nice Ford! Just a nice clean Hot Rod, I like it a lot!
  13. I got 19 of 19. It seemed easy, the only one I had to think about was the 348.
  14. '66 SS396 Chevelles. I had one in Chateu Slate metalic. Great car! I like all American muscle cars, would love to have one of each.
  15. I've got my driveway almost done. It doesn't mean much since our street hasn't been plowed, but I'll be ready to shovel out the mountain of snow after they pass. I haven't been in a storm like this since I left Grand Rapids in '92. I was much younger then!
  16. No problem George. You have no idea how much I envy you being able to go every year. I hit every Detroit Autorama from '94 thru '04, usually Saturday and Sunday. Rick and the guys at the model contest would always let me and my 2 buddies behind the ropes to check out the models. I miss it big time!
  17. George, I was talking about the Toy Show at the Autorama. Ian's Dad Bob was the person who handled it for years, I just wondered if he still did. The last time I saw Bob was at the Autorama in 2004. Bob had a great Automobilia store in Utica for many years too, he's a great guy and a car guy to the bone!
  18. I sure miss the Autorama! Ian, does your Dad still put on the toy show there?
  19. Wish I could be there. I always enjoyed the Clintondale shows when I lived in Clawson. Clintondale shows were the first shows I ever sold at. Good luck!
  20. What Mark said is close to what I do too. I do a lot of "drive buy" viewing in between other things I'm doing. I very seldom spend more than half an hour continuous on the computer. I have 3 main model car sights I visit, I love them all and visit them all everyday. I find I spend more time viewing when I'm in a building "funk" which often gets me inspired to build. The 2 compliment each other.
  21. It's called self control. You have to limit the time you spend on the computer. What? Oh, you're right! I'm on the computer too!!! ######, nevermind!
  22. Hey Dave, where are you finding the Power Dissolver? I used to get it at Walmart but like many other things, they decided I don't need it and quit stocking it. I'm down to one bottle, wondered where you get yours.
  23. The kit was never released. AMT canceled it along with the Studebaker they announced at the same time. It remains one of my biggest modeling disappointments to this day.
  24. You did a great job! I like your color combo. This kit is a milestone and yours is killer.
  25. That's a sweet combo. I love the wheels on the Cobra. The pair sure don't show their age!
