  1. Nice color combo, very well executed. Can't wait to see it finished1
  2. Check here: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=52398&hl=+perry's++resin His products are excellent but the wait times can be extreme. Someone on the board, I believe it's Nick Winters, knows the owner and has helped a few board members with their orders.
  3. Rich, I love the sound of what you have planned. I'm glad it went to a good home and I'll be following along with the build.
  4. I have seen '28/'29 sedans made by using the Revell '31 sedan with the cowl (doors forward) of the Revell '29 pickup. The ones I've seen pictures of look good.
  5. Pete, no up top. That's the old MPC kit. The original AMT '67 & '68 had up tops.
  6. Very nice work Rich. That engine really pops and the interior looks great too!
  7. I agree with Craig. We need a new tool '53 or '54. They are very popular in full scale. I have 2 friends with '53's. This one's very high on my "frothing at the mouth" for a new tool list.
  8. The old B&M Hydro decal with the red tranny and the robot. I'd also love to see some Balanger Brothers Headers decals or any other more obscure decals from the era. I can't wait to see what you're working on.
  9. Very nice hot rod. You don't see those hot rodded 4's in scale rods very often.
  10. Mine are 1/25th. I bought them at a the hobby shop I was part timing at. There is no information on the package so I've never known who's product they were.
  11. I was at Martin Dragway years ago when Charlie's chute didn't open. He tried to make the last turn before the sand trap and put the car on it's side. It seemed like it hung there forever before it finally went over. I've got a set I've had a long time and there's no info on the package or the bag. Good luck.
  12. I'd love to see any '50's BOP or even an early to mid '50's Caddy. Having said that I still would rather have a nice new tool '53 or '54 Chevy. This kit is long overdue. The Monogram kit is caricature like and the Revell kits are not quite stock either. A nice current standard new tool would be a big hit as these cars are very popular in the full size world. Drew, you're one of my favorite modelers but we disagree on '58. To me it was '59 that left me wondering what the heck happened. '59 Fords still leave me cold.
  13. I like the California Lace but it's way out of scale. They were built for the armed forces in '43. Dean Milano did a stock one in U.S. Navy trim back in the '90's.
  14. 1) 1954 Merc. 2) 1965 Plymouth Belvedere 3) any year Studebaker Hawk.
  15. The new tool Revell '55, '56 and '57 Chevy kits have frames/pans without the exhaust molded in. Great start by the way!
  16. It's in the Monogram '29 Model A pickup kit but it has different valve covers and intake/carbs. Replicas and Miniatures casts the heads and script valve covers in resin. The 6x2 manifold and carbs in the Monogram '30 Woody kit could be adapted to the Caddy.
  17. I agree with von Zipper. The Grand Rapids Rider store is something special. Also Walt's Hobbies in Crest Hill IL. is a great family owned shop where the customer comes first. You can't go wrong with either of these!
  18. The AMT '29 Ford roadster kit has one. It's derived from the original Ala Kart kit and still has the Red Ram hemi.
  19. Scott was a great guy and my friend. We had lots of good times together and I'll miss him. He was in a lot of discomfort the last year or so but still could joke and laugh. He was one of the good guys. Be at peace Scott.
  20. Replicas and Miniatures of Maryland casts the heads and Cadillac script valve covers. Ed Fluck of Drag City Casting casts the seats. Not sure what else is out there.
  21. Hi Mark! I think it's going to be the AMT '65 Ford with decals to do the 28 car. The original kit had that car as one of the 3 building options and I believe most of the stock car parts are still on the trees. Fred was my favorite NASCAR driver when I was growing up so I'll be getting one at my favorite hobby shop.
  22. Send him an E-mail at the addy Tom King posted above. He'll let you know what he has and what he can produce. You won't be disappointed with his products.
