  1. If you can, contact the manufacturer. Some resins react to things others don't.
  2. I have one and it's beautiful! He also has custom interiors for the Revell '57 Ford and new tool Revell '57 Chevies.
  3. Richard, I do build at my bench but I do most of my assembly work on a TV tray in the livingroom.
  4. This is my bench the last time it was close to clean. It's got a pile of stuff on it now. At least the pile is all model car stuff!
  5. An old high school friend pointed this article out to me. If you like heavy equipment, woodworking or fine craftsmanship check this out! www.viralnova.com/grandpa-carvings/
  6. For a stock chassis & driveline the Revell '37 Ford pickup is a good donor. The scale difference works in your favor on this swap with the longer truck chassis being just about right for the cars.
  7. It looks great! My first car was a red four door '60 Corvair.
  8. Welcome! I lived in Clawson from '92-'04. We were neighbors!
  9. Like so many others, I only tear down and rebuild other people's old builds. I also have a few that I bought to rebuild but they are just too cool to mess with.
  10. I built one of these too as a slump buster. I'm more of a traditional rod guy but the kit was very well engineered, went together very easily and looks great!
  11. Ron, thanks for the great pictures! I lived in Clawson MI. for 12 years and miss the DAAM shows. You even got 2 pictures of my old selling partner Matt Ambrose! Thanks again.
  12. Welcome Pat! I lived in Clawson, MI. from '92 to '04 and miss the area a lot. I hope you make friends and have fun here!
  13. Great work. I wish someone would give us a kit of an old USAC Sprint car.
  14. Nice concept and excellent follow through Bernard. I love Hot Rods with a subtle appearance. I remain a fan of your builds.
  15. I've found a lot of complete and parts kits at Goodwill stores. The best was complete, in the box, unbuilt Monogram 1/8th scale '82 Vette and '82 Camaro for $6 each
  16. I used to set up next to Dean at the DAAM shows in Warren. He's a great guy!
  17. Depending on how close you are to Grand Rapids I'd recommend Rider's Hobby Shop on 28th street. The store manager is a model car builder and the staff is knowledgeable and helpful. They carry all the current kits from the major American companies, out of production kits and building supplies. http://ridershobby.com/main/?page_id=9
  18. I love the stance! Great project. Does the '64 interior bucket fit the '60 chassis or did you perform some modifications? This swap is on my to do list, I have the teardrop hood for a '64. My second car was a black '64 Ford with a red interior, 289 3 speed. It was a great car.
  19. Be careful of that Inca Gold. Once you use it you want to paint everything that color!
  20. Great job! I always liked that color.
  21. Nice Ford Tim! I seem to say that about a lot of your builds, "nice Ford"!
  22. Does that mean I should call the Marines and cancel the napalm strike I had scheduled to warm my can of One Coat Purplicious?
  23. AMT made a '66 convertible. It would have the top and boot. Throw up a post in the wanted section. Maybe someone here has the parts or a kit to trade.
