That is cool , almost mini shaped too (I'm ignoring your 1:1 joke Lee ) I have a much smaller mini (1/4" long) in my collection but not with opening doors or working wheels , will have to get the knife out and see what I can do -
Sold .. highly detailed General lee..wow

An evo would be the same (or close to it , the CTP might be a bit dearer) , it gets dearer with weight , a large 4WD (over 2 tonnes) is $100 or more extra then trucks are more again . Thank's for posting all that Dan , was too much to type -
Look's good , that's a Fujimi mini isn't it ?

For my Lancer I just got the rego renewal , just over $700 for 12 months rego and compulsory third party insurance (not on the car , to cover anyone injured in a crash ) EDIT , if you want normal personalised plate (standard letter and number combination but your own choice of letters and numbers) it's $45 or so a year extra , if you want full custom plates (something that doesn't fit the usual letter number combination , eg MODEL or BUILD or similar) it's a bit over $400 a year on top of the rego fees . -

I'm leaving the rego costs alone as our costs would shock you .... Well done on the Genral Lee , all I can say is the guy got an absolute bargain at that price for the amount of work and materials you put into it . -
Lookin' good Liam , what's with the green winscreen though ? Jonathan , what's happening with the move ?

Your favorite genre of models!

Mini's plus whatever takes my fancy at the time , or I can get at the right price -
Looking good guy's , some cool progress happening . Jonathan , I did an earlier version of that Jag kit (I think it was the same kit anyway) about 20 years ago , one of the most detailed cars I did at the time , watching to see how yours goes . I haven't been able to make any progress on the mini yet , life keeps getting in the way

My ultimate garage would have to include a Metro 6R4 , British Leylands factory group B rally car . The metro was supposed to follow on from the mini but the mini outlived it (so it's a small car) , when group B rallying came about someone decided it would be a great idea to put a fuel injected , quad cam V6 in the back of this small hatchback and make it all wheel drive ....

Found it , it was a Taurus and not an asian car . http://www.newfoundlandmotorsports.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=39566 NOT HAPPY though , should have followed this more closely , the place it was destroyed at was about half an hour away from me , could have gone and watched So come on , who's going to be banker to get a consortium together to buy this other heap and give it a fitting send off ? Sorry Rob , didn't see your reply , yes , that's the one .

A few years ago there was a hideous car for sale down here , can't remember the details of it (was an asian car with a huge and overly done bodykit but standard asthmatic engine) and can't find it now but a group of guy's on a performance car forum banded together and bought it do destroy it in the most spectacular way they could ... Maybe someone needs to do that here

Sorry , I missed the bit about entries closing on the 30th , I thought it might have been judged already , it's got to be a winner

Can you please build me a shrink ray so I can take that sucker for a spin , awesome build , it looks like it was designed around that motor . How did you go in the comp ?
-
Problem if that if I set the chassis higher in the body the interior tub will be too high in the body and visible above the doors . Its cast in fairly thick resin but I suspect originally made in thin resin or diecast . I've already thinned the interior tub as much as I can so will leave it as is , it must be so high on the suspension since its launching hard at the start of the race

Best opening scene from a movie ever!
sports850 replied to Pete J.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
had to go way back to the start of the thread to find only one person has p[osted the original Italian job opening bit , it's brilliant (just don't look too closely at the Lambo when it hits the river or you'll see the engines missing...) . -
