John, I believe all you're seeing is the shadow between the headlight buckets and the grill area.... looking at these pics I may go back and dig the glue out of the headlights and redo it...... Really, I'm more proud of the rear bumper, even tho the lenses don't fit the holes very well......... -

I guess I just got lucky and they turned out decent! I've been experimenting with different techniques for making a vinyl texture for the top.... that's the next challenge...... Thanks -

Thanks, John! I put a little elmers glue over the headlights so they wouldn't look like just chrome....... -

A quick update for you guys! This is the ride height from the box pretty much, I only flipped the front spindles so it would sit in the lower position..... Also have the bumpers detailed....... -
Balancing (too many?) hobbies/life?

Here lately I've been discovering that we get what we Need when we NEED it though....... May not be what we want but we don't go entirely without.... -
I've deleted the message but the pic is still under my attachments.... No big deal, just found it curious..............

Is there no way to delete attached pics? I put one in a PM and wanted to delete it........... Sorry!

Thanks for the responses......! There's no chance of me opening my own "shop" as I live in a small apartment....... I think that a hobby store could do good here. There's plenty of stay-at-home moms who could benefit from a craft section, maybe some RC stuff for the kids.... Paints and styrene for builders......

Hey, Guys..... I live in a small rural town in south east North Carolina. Those from here probably know of Elizabethtown...... We have absolutely no kind of hobby shop! If it wasn't for Wally World and the parts stores, I would have to order all my supplies online....... How can I convince a chain to put a small hobby store in this town? or even a "Mom & Pop" shop would be nice.... Thanks for any input............

I just had to see what the bronze paint looked like and how it sprayed...... I'm not disappointed at all with it... Also got the basis of the engine done.... -

Thanks, Friend.... The only thing I've found out to watch for so far is where the engine bay is located. The locator pins on the chassis mount to the inner fenders, and where they are determines where the wheels are in the wells..... -

Got the interior where it fits...... All I had to do was remove some along the tops of the door panels and the leading edge of the dash.... Please ignore the gold paint, I've ordered some bronze that should be here soon...... -

Little bit of progress, I got the engine bay mounted to the body......... Let's just hope it holds! And checking to see if the hood fits flush........... Thanks Guys, for your comments and for following along...........! -

Flip one of them over, or switch one from each side to the other......... -
I bet the scooter has been chopped, sectioned, lowered, louvered, shaved and scalloped by now!

Thanks for that, Bob! Where did you have trouble with fitment? Anything else I should look out for? -

What I've done up to this point is to cut the engine bay from the '71 Charger..... I'll be using the chassis, engine bay, drive train, and such from the AMT kit. The interior won't be correct (the wood grain on the door panels is different between the two years) and I'll probably have to trim the bottoms of the door panels a bit. Gonna need to get some half-round for the trim around the top and along the rockers........ Wish me Luck, Thanks! -
I've been working on this some, thought I would show what I've got so far..... Trying to go for a "replica" of a car Dad recently got........ That's all I have for now.... Will show progress as I make it!

Interesting factoid about the Angler Fish.... The male is actually much smaller than the female, and is a parasite of sorts to her. He attaches himself to her and her body slowly absorbs him. That's how she becomes fertilized.......... Neat stuff!
