  1. The more distracted you are, the more likely you are to over pump.............. and over pay...
  2. Hey, Steve..... If your kitchen cabinets have been poly-urethaned you will need to de-gloss them before primer. Then paint them with paint as thin as you can get it if you will be using oil based paint.
  3. Since you have to wait a day or two for the decals to dry, the color coat should be fine to clear over.........
  4. Thanks, Guys, and Thank You, G! All we need now is a red horse and a pale one..............
  5. Hey, Friend........ That's a nice blue and a really nice paint job! It looks metallic, which means you can't sand/polish it. You can apply the decals now, clear coat, then do whatever polishing you wish to do...... The smell test is a good indicator as to when the paint is fully cured. Again, that's real pretty, man.............
  6. Hey, Fellas......... I'm just wondering if anyone casts a custom interior for the '56 300B.......... Tuck and Roll would be awesome for the plans I have for this build. Thanks!
  7. I wonder if one of the twin-charged Volvo engines would fit into something like a P1800....... What a quick little car THAT would be!! I've seen one online with a 5 cyl turbo in it, so I'm sure it would fit, as the P1800 was a 4 cyl car............
  8. What you could get was an E body Barracuda and Challenger with a slant 6!
  9. Ditto from me.............
  10. So is there a good "compromise" kit that maybe doesn't have all the opening features of the EM kits, but still has a full engine? Also I have a built Revellogram Countach that I'm not satisfied with, I could take the engine from it and put in a better kit........ What would be a good kit to use the Monogram engine in? You guys are most helpful, Thanks!
  11. Thanks, Guys.... I saw the Fujimi kits, but were unsure if they were the Enthusiast series because they aren't really priced like a full kit. I've seen curbside kits that cost more....
  12. I would love to build a full detail Countach..... Hobbylinc has a dozen Lambos to choose from. Which of these are full detail? Which ones have you guys built? Would appreciate any info on these, Thanks! http://www.hobbylinc.com/cgi-bin/s8.cgi?str_s=countach&submit=GO&cat_s=SCB&mfg_s=
  13. I've been listening to this a lot lately, especially Bullet, Psychobilly Freakout, and D for Dangerous...... It's also out by the same record label that released Nirvana's first album...........
  14. I had boxed this away for a while and worked on model cars some. I thought with Fall upon us, it's the perfect time to try and finish him up! I've got a mockup of what I've done so far..... Still needs reigns, stirrups, cape and other bits, but I have made some progress.......
  15. I wonder how much work it would be to make the Jeep into something like a mild kustom, lowered on ol' school Astros and candy paint? Or maybe keep the 4x4 setup and make an awd pro-touring pickup?
  16. Thanks for all the nice replies! I put a lot of effort into this one...... Some things I forgot to mention, the paint is all duplicolor, black primer, Toreador Red, and their Perfect Match clear.......... The Keystones are the large rear wheels from the '68 Charger kit......
  17. Thank you, guys! WOW! If I hadn't omitted the stone guards and vent windows, it would look exactly the same!
  18. Finally finished this up today! I call it "The Scarlet Harlot"..... Pretty much everything but the body parts is from the custom coupe. There's a WIP in the proper section for those interested. Thanks for looking, and all comments are welcome........
  19. I remember Ed, man. He was genius with a camera! He made everyone want to live where he was because of his beautiful scenery............ sorry for the loss of a friend Brian, could you send me a PM, I tried to send you one, but I guess your mail box is full.
  20. Thank you for all the nice comments! I gave this model to Dad to display with his car when he goes to cruise-ins....... he was very happy with it.......
  21. That's good looking out there, Snake..... I looked it up online and it IS very very close to the color in the pic.
  22. Thanks a bunch, guys! I'm glad you're enjoying this one..... Final mockup pics before I button this up for good! I have to paint the dash still, then it's final assembly time......
  23. Hey, friend, it's Duplicolor Toreador Red with their perfect match clear....
  24. Thanks, Guys! The second pic with it foiled shows the actual color the best.......
