  1. Thank You Carl, my Friend..........
  2. Thanks, Friend....! High praise coming from you................
  3. Had to break out the abacus for today's average.......... seems it is (wait for it..........................................) 58!
  4. So, here's how the black turned out.......! There's a little dust in it, so the day I clear it, I'll color sand it a bit..... Before I sprayed the black, I sprayed a thin coat of the silver over the tape to seal it............ Thanks for checking it out, comment freely...............
  5. A small update..... I've pretty much finished everything, and I've been working on the body the past couple days. Here it is in a base of DupliColor light slate.... I've masked off what will stay silver/gray, If it's nice tomorrow I can spray the black. I don't have any foil to mask with like I would have liked to, so here's hoping Tamiya's tape will do the job.......... As always, thanks for following along, and comment if you'd like.............!
  6. Bill, do you think there is a way to maybe thin this stuff? It could maybe be brushed on for a bed liner.......?
  7. This kit doesn't have a separate frame... but the interior you build into a tub (which I love any kit like this).... It has separate suspension and 4 of the tail lights are molded in red, two in clear..... It's an excellent kit, I'm building my second one now!
  8. A guy I know told me his first encounter with a talking car was a 4-door Thunderbird..... (late '60s?) He said it would alert you if a door was ajar. There's a bunch of cars that have that feature, I know, I'm just wondering if the T-Bird was the first? Thanks........
  9. Beautimus Maximus.......!!
  10. Just a small update for those following along....... Got the rear suspension chromed, and a final stance check to see how we sit....... Thanks for looking in!
  11. Are you doing base coat/clear coat? If so next time just paint the body flat black, foil what you want to stay flat, apply clear, then remove the foil........
  12. Man, does that look familiar! I used to do dry wall and paint........ You have to whip the joint compound with a drill and paddle to make it spread smooth.......
  13. Well, last year I was 21, didn't have a lot of fun, Now this year I'll be 22, and it's oh my my and boo hoo,
  14. What's worse than finding a worm in your apple? Finding half a worm...........
  15. Sorry, Guys.... I was off-line for a while, power outages and such...... Use just once and destroy, invasion of our piracy, Afterbirth of a nation, you'd starve without your skeleton key.......
  16. Just a bit of an update...... The 409 is finished, and I've started chroming the suspension pieces. Hopefully next update will be a rolling chassis and a stance check......
  17. Yep! Good song..........
  18. Nice Cars! I had an '83 T-Bird in high school, really enjoyed it. It rode and drove better than the fox mustang I had a few years later......... Whats the plan for the V6 car? Stroker small block?
  19. The outlaws had us pinned down at the fort, the outlaws had us pinned down at the fort, Cisco came in blastin', drinking Port, Cisco came in blastin', drinking Port.........
  20. Pendulous Thread by Incubus......... Sheep by Pink Floyd, with an excellent cover by Col. Claypool's Frog Brigade..........
  21. Thank You for the nice comments, Guys! and for the correct info on this kit....... I did see the CBP! Unfortunately, I had too much progress on this to enter it, maybe the next build....... The chrome is from an aerosol can over a black base.....
  22. When Lindberg first released this kit, the cowl area was incorrect, Luckily this one is one of the corrected versions, it has a date of '96 on the box..... The incorrect one has a date of '91 I think.....
  23. The pearl I used will get an almond tint to it if you put more than two or three coats on..... It's an excellent kit, this will be the second one I've built......
  24. How's your thumb now, friend? You may need stitches......... I've done lots of "not very bright" things as far as injuring myself. One of the dumbest things was I got mad at a guy once and punched the taillights out of his truck. I opened the index knuckle on my right hand, so badly that I could see the tendon move when I moved my finger...... That's been a good 15 years ago (I've mellowed out a LOT since then) and still have a pretty prominent scar from it....... I hope your injury isn't going to hinder you building or looking after the Missus...
  25. Hey, Carl friend....! I used Krylon gloss white over a gray primer, then sprayed DupliColor Pearl White over that....... the pearl is a Perfect-Match for a Toyota, and is so thin and translucent that you need a white base for it..........
